Ten communities and one town in Changning recently launched this year’s innovative community governance “each community/town is distinctive” project, which shares beautiful development achievements with residents in the in-depth practice of exploring and building a community that integrates residential compounds, campuses, industrial parks and neighborhoods.

This year, Changning focuses on the model of the best grassroots practice of democracy in the whole process, the construction of the brand Cohesion Project of urban grassroots Party construction in the new era, the improvement of the functional quality and development level of Changning area of Hongqiao International Central Business District, the construction of a better “15 minute community life circle,” the construction of a demonstration area of the waterfront of Suzhou Creek jointly built and shared by the people and the construction of grassroots application scenarios for urban digital transformation.

Hence, it determined 10 projects, which include “Xinhua • Community Center Construction,” “Elderly Cognitive Impairment Support Program,” “Public Service Social Governance Space,” “Rhythm of the Times, Suhe (Suzhou Creek) Landscape Painting,” “Full Elements Family Friendly Neighborhood,” “International Community Supporting Services and Community Governance Actions for Top-notch Business Talent” and the “Source of Suzhou Creek Vital Creation and Enjoyment Space.”

At present, from community to industrial park, and then to the urban business area, innovation space, residential compound, campus, park and green space and neighborhood, Changning has built a grassroots governance system with the participation of local residents in autonomy and co-governance and to enjoy a better life.

Listen to the voices of residents, adopt their opinions, and encourage residents to participate in autonomy in the whole process. In the process of community governance, Changning will strive to promote the people’s democratic construction in the whole process. 

In addition, the construction of “15-minute community life circle,” as the annual major task of the whole district, has been included in one of the top priorities. 

It will attract all kinds of governance experts to participate in promoting the implementation of the plan together, so as to make the people have an updated experience of gain, happiness and security.
