Hongqiao launches three initiatives to attract international talent

The sixth "Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Enterprise" International Talent Exchange opened on November 8 at the Gubei Civic Center, introducing three innovative initiatives: the HongQiao·CoLab, the "Best Hongqiao" HR Association, and dual-scenario services focusing on family support and community convenience.
The HongQiao·CoLab for international talent entrepreneurship centers on a core service system of "community aggregation, scenario implementation, and practical empowerment." In partnership with Carbon Silicon Tribe, it established the Hongqiao Science and Innovation Development Center to provide international students in universities with full-chain support from research and development to application.
The lab not only offers functions such as achievements display and investment matching but also facilitates international talent's integration into the regional innovation network through a designed pathway of "studying in Shanghai — practical growth — employment and entrepreneurship."
In the employment sector, the 3E event innovatively established the Best Hongqiao HR Association, attracting 28 key enterprises and foreign-invested companies from the district. Through a "rotating presidency" mechanism, the association builds an efficient communication platform among enterprises, promoting resource integration and collaborative development.
Member companies can share advanced management experience, stay updated on industry trends, and achieve complementary advantages in areas such as talent recruitment and cultivation, particularly serving as a bridge for talent collaboration between foreign and local enterprises.
To enhance the community integration of international talent, the event introduced two service brands in the career development sector: "Hongqiao · Neighborhood Light" for family support and "Hongqiao · Neighborhood Assistance" for convenient services.
By building social platforms, offering family relationship support, and providing "community-school linkage" educational services, the “Neighborhood Light” brand fosters a warm and inclusive community atmosphere. The "Neighborhood Assistance" consultation sessions focus on pain points like school enrollment for expatriate children and medical service connectivity, offering targeted "one-on-one" support. This "talent-centric" service philosophy lays the foundation for Hongqiao to build a livable community for international talent.
