‘Talent Apartments’ achieves major progress

The main building structure of block A1 in the west of the “Hongqiao Talent Apartments” project has been capped. The main buildings in block A2 of the west plot and the south plot are under construction.

At the same time, permission has been granted for the construction work in the east plot of the project involving a total investment of more than 5 billion yuan (US$746 million).

With a total construction area of 389,000 square meters, the project includes 27 main buildings, 5,300 condos, and 1,697 underground parking spaces.

The north end of the talent apartments is in the opposite of Hongqiao Sports Park across Tianshan Road W., adjacent to the greenway to the west of the Outer Ring Road and the Waihuanxi River in the east.

It is adjacent to Zhoujiabang River in the south, and connected by Suining River. With superior natural environment, it is currently the largest apartments for rent under construction in Shanghai.

The main house type of Hongqiao Talent Apartments is a 20-30 square meter one bedroom house type, accounting for about 80 percent of the total number of condos, and the rest are two bedroom and three bedroom house types ranging from 40 square meters, 50 square meters, 80 square meters and 90 square meters, meeting the diversified needs of tenants.

Riverside parks make summer cooler

Two more parks along the Suzhou Creek have been reopened since July 1. Come to Hongqiao Riverside Park and Linkong Skateboard Park to meet the colorful summer!

The west and north sides of Hongqiao Riverside Park are surrounded by the Suzhou Creek. Walking down the hydrophilic platform in the northwest corner, you can hear the “heartbeat” of Suzhou Creek at a close distance.

A number of seats are set on the artificial rockery platform for visitors to rest and cool off.

In the Linkong Industrial Park, the winding Suzhou Creek is in the east, and the long and narrow Linkong Skateboard Park is suitable for both movement and static. 

From north to south, there is a professional skateboarding field and four mini skateboarding fields in series to meet the needs of skateboarders at all levels.

Round table to boost American businesses

On July 5, following the special session of Japanese funded enterprises and European enterprises, Changning District held the third round table conference of regional headquarters of multinational companies and key foreign-funded enterprises (special session of American funded enterprises) and Hongqiao Friendship Alliance government-enterprise dialogue.

Ten American-funded firms, including Herbalife Nutrition China HQ, New Balance Trading (China) Co, Ltd, the Shanghai branch of Caterpillar (China) Investment Co, Ltd and Danaher Corporation, and the head of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai attended the conference and participated in the dialogue.

Changning Party secretary Wang Lan said that Changning has always attached great importance to economic and trade cooperation with American funded enterprises and has achieved a series of fruitful results in trade, investment, logistics, humanities and other fields.

She pointed out that Changning will seize the major strategic opportunities such as the construction of Hongqiao International Open Hub and the digital transformation of the city, make greater efforts to improve the core functions of Hongqiao International Central Business District, Hongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, strive to build an online new economic ecological park of the “Source of Hongqiao,” increase project construction and investment attraction, further enlarge the unique advantages of opening up at home and abroad, and seek more win-win opportunities for enterprises realize long-term development and increase efficiency.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and representatives of 10 enterprises expressed confidence in continuing to invest and develop in Changning, and put forward appeals and suggestions around some difficulties and problems encountered in the business process.

The district development and reform commission, commerce commission, foreign affairs office, science and technology commission, human resources and social security bureau, the sports bureau, housing administration, market regulator, investment promotion office, tax bureau and other government agencies made responses during the conference/dialogue.


Smart Valley to run office smarter

A new member of the Shanghai Garment Group, Smart Valley at 55 Jinlun Road is another digital business office building project created by the Shanghai Garment Group, which actively promotes digital transformation and upgrading and develops new space and resources.
