The tenants of Shanghai Arch generated more than 10 billion yuan (US$1.38 billion) of tax revenue by the end of October this year making the skyscraper the most lucrative among its peers throughout the city.

The 260,000 square meter Shanghai Arch consists of a 148 meter high office building, an 85,000 square meter Arch Walk shopping complex and an underground garage.

It is home to 135 companies in the field of digital economy, such as Internet plus life service, health, artificial intelligence, financial services, etc.

Among its tenants, eight are Fortune Global 500 companies, including PDD, Asics, Herbalife and Brother (China).

The tax revenue of modern service industry accounts for more than 80 percent of the total in Changning. Thirty three buildings in the district are each with their tenants paid more than 100 billion yuan of taxes last year.

Changning also homes 75 regional headquarters of multinational conglomerates. The momentum of development has been transformed rapidly and powerfully, and its role in supporting the district economy has been enhanced year by year.
