Cultural plaza new highlight of district cultural life

The Haisu Cultural Plaza, a commercial office complex that integrates fashion, art, and ecology, will officially open to the public in September this year.

The cultural plaza extends to Zhongdeqiao Road in the east, Kaiqiao Greenland in the west, Liu Haisu Art Museum in the south, and Zhaohua Road in the north. 

The total construction area of the project is 112,000 square meters, including an office area of 51,400 square meters, a commercial area of 16,600 square meters, and a cultural area of 9,635 square meters.

As an integrated urban space, the Haisu Cultural Plaza integrates elements of natural green, with the architectural form of “fold mountains” and the visual effect of “cloud sea on the top of mountains.”

The texture of the facade is consistent with surrounding features such as the Liu Haisu Art Museum. It is also a key project in Changning to enhance the functional level and core competitiveness of the urban area and create a Haisu Cultural and Art District.

Afterward, cultural, artistic, and lifestyle cultural brands that have accumulated in areas such as Wuyi Road, Yuyuan Road, Xinhua Road, and Panyu Road will be aggregated, reborn, and reshaped. 

The project will be positioned as an international level cultural, living, and commercial station, and the introduction of cultural elements will enhance the commercial quality and office atmosphere of the project. 

It will also radiate to surrounding communities, benefiting neighbors in areas such as aesthetic education, public education, artistic experience, and living facilities, at that time, as a new landmark for urban public cultural life to be added to Changning.

Michelin, Bosch, Otis among Top 100 Global Innovators 2023

A report by Clarivate Plc identifies Linkong-based Michelin, Bosch, and Otis among the Top 100 Global Innovators 2023.

This is the fifth time Michelin and the third time Bosch have received this honor, while Otis is on the list for the first time.

The Top 100 Global Innovators 2023 come from 12 countries and regions. Asia extends its dominance with 58 organizations on the list, up from 54 last year.

Clarivate forecasts continued increases in the rank of connectivity and sustainability-focused industries: telecommunications, energy and electrical-focused entities and computing equipment.

Green space with urban memory along Suzhou Creek

The public green space at the intersection of Changning Road and Furongjiang Road was officially unveiled after reconstruction, becoming another scenic spot along the Suzhou Creek and a good place for residents to take a walk.

The park is bordered by the Suzhou Creek to the north, the riverside promenade to the west, and the Gubei Road Bridge to the east, with a total area of approximately 4,000 square meters.

The green space adopts mirrored stainless steel materials to create mirrored corridors and square circular pavilions. Combined with the black and white granite walkways in the park, it echoes the original cast steel sculpture “Imprint,” integrating strength and aesthetics to create an artistic space with urban memory.

The park has abundant recreational facilities, with landscape walkways and children’s activity squares paved with lake blue and indigo asphalt, combined with white terrazzo walls to depict a fresh and beautiful sky. 

The cosmic theme spray painting covers the composition of the solar system, the changes of the moon phase, and the evolution of rockets, satellites, circles and even regular polygon. 

It aims to create a full age friendly and entertaining science popularization exploration practice place.

Chinese flowering crabapple plus maple trees and trees such as ginkgo, beech, and soapberry, together with flowering plants such as rhododendron, golden chrysanthemum, phnom penh fragrant plantain lily, and foxtail fern, create an all season “green landscape.”

Spring sales creates frenzy in local shops

With the opening of the 2023 spring shopping season in Shanghai, major commercial circles in Changning have successively launched promotions and themed activities.

‘Shanghai Silicon Alley’ to get No.1 Innovation Space

Changning has mapped out the plan to build the No.1 Innovation Space of “Shanghai Silicon Alley.”

On the former site of the “Citizen Learning Center” in the Dingxi Road campus of Changning Community College, the innovation space will become an innovative platform that integrates the centralized display of scientific and technological achievements, the transformation and application of scientific and technological innovation achievements, comprehensive services for scientific and technological enterprises, the integration and inauguration of scientific and technological innovation, cultural and creative integration, and the learning, exchange, and experience of citizens.
