Otis tops best elevators

Changning-based Otis Elevator tops the 10 best global elevator manufacturers again at the “2023 Global Elevator Industry Summit.”

The evaluation of the “Top 10 Global Elevator Manufacturers” list is mainly based on indicators such as elevator business turnover, profit level, internationalization index, technological and service innovation, and business quality of listed companies. Otis Elevator Company has been at the top of the list for many years.

Otis Gen3 ™ intelligent elevator and Otis Electromechanical OH7000 intelligent elevator have been awarded the honor of China Elevator Product of the Year. 

They all come from Otis’ largest innovation center in the world - Otis Shanghai R&D Center, and are promoted and applied in the global market.

Love Changning, love the world

What is “love” in the eyes of children? On July 18, the 8th International Children’s Innovative Art Invitation Exhibition opened at the Shanghai Art Collection Museum in Changning. 

The theme of this exhibition is “Connecting the World, Using Love as a Medium.” It gathers art works from over 150 children from 24 countries, showcasing their understanding and expression of love in different cultural backgrounds of different countries and regions.

A house smiling like a person, a colorful kingdom of plants, waves hanging in the air, zongzi (sticky rice dumpling as the traditional Dragon Boat Festival snack) traveling in a dragon boat... The whole exhibition is like a fairyland.

With the theme of connecting the world and using love as a medium, this exhibition is divided into four parts: “love the family,” “love the city,” “love civilization” and “love the world.” 

It brings together art works of over 150 children from China, Japan, the United States, France, Germany, Australia, Britain, Canada, Russia, Iran, New Zealand, India, South Korea, the Czech Republic, Finland, Singapore, Norway, Belgium, Thailand, Türkiye, South Africa, Slovakia, Pakistan, Indonesia, and Armenia.

In addition to traditional paintings and photographs, there are also Genres of creative works such as sculptures and installations. Although these works have different types and presentation methods, they all showcase the understanding and expression of love among children in different cultural backgrounds of different countries and regions through vibrant colors and innocent strokes.

District home to 2 more multinational headquarters

Two more foreign-funded enterprises in Changning District were identified as the regional headquarters of multinational company on July 18.

Shanghai Siyanli Industrial Co, Ltd and Lamb Weston (Shanghai) Trading Co, Ltd obtained the certificate of regional headquarters for multinational conglomerate issued by Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng. At present, there are 82 regional headquarters of multinationals in Changning.

Dances with Changning

From May 31, with the final competition of Dancing of Changning • The 13th China Dance Drama “Lotus Award" Dance Drama Award unveiled in Changning, eight dance dramas from all over the country, including “Dream of Red Mansions,” were staged one by one in the Grand Theater of Shanghai International Dance Center, bringing a colorful audio-visual feast to the citizens. And such high-level artistic enjoyment is not uncommon in Changning.

Representing the highest achievement of China’s professional dance art, the “Lotus Award” dance drama award has cooperated with Changning District for seven consecutive times since it was settled in Shanghai in 2009. 

While bringing high-quality dance art, it has created a strong dance culture atmosphere, allowing the people to enjoy the beauty of dance art.

In addition to the “Lotus Award,” Changning also continues to hold Shanghai Citizen Dance Competition, attracting thousands of teams from all districts of the city to participate every year, covering dance enthusiasts of different ages and professions, creating a platform for Shanghai citizens to showcase their own style, pursue cultural quality, and enjoy artistic charm. 

Changning has fully utilized its resource advantages and focused on building an international professional dance high ground in recent years. At present, not only two large-scale dance events, “Lotus Award” and “Shanghai Citizen Dance Competition,” have settled down in Changning, but also Shanghai International Dance Center, Shanghai Ballet Company, Shanghai Song and Dance Troupe, Shanghai Dance School and Shanghai Theatre Academy Dance Academy have gathered here, making the brand influence of “Changning Dance” constantly improve.

Shopping, dopamine, and anticipation

The “Dopamine Colorful Food Season” at Cloud Nine Shopping Mall from July 22 will run through the end of the month. The event revolves around consumer formats such as food and beverage, boutique retail, and new energy vehicles, linking multiple theme blocks in the mall, and launching activities such as food tasting, discounted group buying, and check-in gifts to reward consumers.
