The construction of Livat Shanghai is nearing completion and the commercial complex is expected to open in the second half of 2024.

It is expected to introduce over 350 brand stores, including 15 matrix merchandises. At present, business promotion is underway.

As the largest single investment project for Ingka Centers throughout the world, Livat Shanghai is in the Hongqiao Linkong Economic Demonstration Zone and the core area of the Hongqiao International Open Hub. 

Relying on the strong and dynamic development opportunities and strategic location of Changning, the project has access to multiple trunk roads such as the Outer Ring Road, Beidi Elevated Road, and Beiheng Passage. 

It will connect with the Hongqiao Business District, radiating over 3 million residents and high-density education and office clusters in the surrounding area. 

The total investment of the project is about 8 billion yuan (US$1.1 billion), with a total construction area of over 430,000 square meters. It is a new one-stop landmark that includes Livat Shanghai, IKEA, and five office buildings.

Outdoor activities, leisure lifestyles and many more functions for both dynamic and static scenarios would be included, and it would host the most trendy and fashion retailers to stay ahead of the market, according to said Ingka Centers China President Joyce Zhu.

“Eight Ingka Centers in China recorded an average 29 percent annual visitor numbers growth in September, and encouraging performances during the National Day holiday,” Zhu added.

In 2024, Ingka Centers plans to unveil another new shopping mall in Xi’an as well as the Shanghai property, with a total investment amount of 12 billion yuan.
