Featuring Poetry and Song Concert – “From Shikumen to Tiananmen” and the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra Symphony Concert, the 2023 Hongqiao Classic Music Festival was officially unveiled on November 18.

On the scene, senior military singers and performing artists, by chanting and singing classic and famous poems and revolutionary songs, praised the great achievements of the Communist Party of China in uniting and leading the Chinese people through 10 chapters, “the founding of the Party in Shanghai,” “Huangpu River sailing,” “beacon-fire on Mount Jinggang,” “thousands of rivers and mountains,” “Yan’an war songs,” “the people’s resistance against Japanese aggression,” “remembering heroes,” “building China,” “historical choices” and “entering the new era” which inspired the sincere emotions of loving the Party and the motherland.

There also echoed the melodious excerpts from “Swan Lake,” the cheerful, humorous, and fairy tale colored excerpts from “Nutcracker,” the passionate, wild, and climaxing “Carmen,” and the magnificent, lively, and joyful “Blue Danube” and other world classic masterpieces.
From November 19, special sessions took turns performing, bringing a wonderful audio-visual feast.
The 2023 Hongqiao Classic Music Festival brings together a cultural feast of poetry and literature recitation, classical art, animation audio-visual, and zither performance, aiming to establish the Changning music brand, further enhance the soft power of the district, and use the beauty of music to help Changning vigorously promote the construction of the “Four Forces and Four Cities,” fully showcasing the fruitful achievements of Changning as a national public cultural service system demonstration zone for innovative development.
The festival also assists Changning in accelerating the construction of an international community of excellence with global influence.
