Apartment ready to serve talent

A total of 3,600 condos are ready to serve after two thirds of the Hongqiao Talent Apartment construction was completed. 

A shuttle bus line No. 1221 has been installed at the same time to ferry people between the apartment and Metro Line 2 Songhong Road Station.

The Hongqiao Talent Apartment is located at the Hongqiao International Open Hub, adjacent to the Changning Public Slow Way and the Outer Ring River W. to the east, south to Zhoujiabang, north to Tianshan Road W., and connected to the Hongqiao Sports Park via the slow way across Tianshan Road W.

Divided by Guanghong Road and Suining River, it is naturally divided into three plots: west, south, and east, with a total construction area of 388,000 square meters. 

Adhering to the design concept of “small yet beautiful, small yet exquisite, and small yet complete,” it provides more than 5,400 different types of housing with an area of approximately 20-104 square meters, more than 1,600 parking spaces, and 30,000 square meters of supporting commercial facilities.

Parents and kids grow their ‘home’ garden

How does it feel to be a “gardener” in one’s own community? In the Changfeng Pujiang residential area of the Zuojiazhai Neighborhood in Xinhua Road Community, residents jointly designed and constructed a parent-child corner, allowing families to experience the joy of personally taking care of their garden.

A total of 15 families joined the program and jointly built the garden themselves. In this spring, the parent-child corner welcomes the fragrance of different types of plants.

“Planting and raising flowers has become part of our life. My child has become closer to us and all of us have a stronger sense of belonging to the community,” a resident surnamed Zhang said.

District landmarks iconic fashion show venues

Eighteen destinations, including IM Shanghai, ShanghaiMart, and Haisu Cultural Plaza in Changning, will serve parallel sessions in the upcoming 2024 Autumn/Winter Shanghai Fashion Week starting from March 25.  

Part of the 2024 A/W Shanghai Fashion Week, a number of trade shows, themed forums, and activities will be held in Changning.

International musicians to highlight accordion festival

Starring Simone Zanchini, Djordje Peric, Aotango and Northern Lights Duo, the 6th International Accordion Culture and Arts Festival & 2024 Shanghai International Accordion Arts Week will be unveiled at Columbia Circle on March 30. 

Italian national jazz accordion player Simone Zanchini will make his debut at the 6th International Accordion Culture and Arts Festival in Shanghai Spring, together with clarinet player Gabriele Mirabassi.

Djordje Peric, a 14-year-old boy from Bosnia and Herzegovina, is the youngest accordion performer at this art festival.

Grayson Masefield, the world champion of accordion, is a famous New Zealand accordion performer. The Aotango quintet, formed by him, represents the next generation of tango music in New Zealand. 

At this art festival, he will collaborate with violinist Andrew Beer, a member of the Aotango band, to form a brand new Aotango quintet with outstanding local musicians from Shanghai.

The Northern Lights Duo is composed of two young Russian accordion players, Denis Koptelov and Alexander Komelkov. In this art festival, they will work together to showcase the charm and heritage of Russian accordion music by unleash the greatness of one plus one being greater than two.
