Unique graffiti museum to hit art space 发布时间:2024-05-22
The first exhibition of the Graffiti Art Museum in China will make its debut together with the ROJO Art and Culture Space in the third quarter of this year.
Part of the Shanghai A.F.A at 33 Anshun Road, the Graffiti Art Museum is the only museum in China with graffiti art as its theme.
The exhibition will focus on the ROJO Art and Culture Space as the main venue, combined with large-scale outdoor graffiti fences, graffiti art displaying, limited pop-up stores in Asia, and a variety of themed offline activities, to create a must-have creative art feast for citizens and graffiti enthusiasts.
The ROJO Art and Culture Space has a construction area of approximately 6,000 square meters. It includes three major venues: a multifunctional hall, a central garden, and an art center.
It can connect with different needs such as avant-garde fashion activities, diverse art exhibitions, and multifunctional performance venues, integrating art, trends, entertainment, fashion, and lifestyle.
In addition to exhibitions, the space will also host public performances by world-class institutions.
At present, the graffiti works presented after the renovation are all from artists who have collaborated with the Graffiti Art Museum. Such as BLADE, known as the “king of graffiti,” Ledania, a wall painter from South America, Sen2, who collaborates with numerous Hollywood stars, Fuzi, a French artist, SABE, a Danish heavyweight artist, FUZZ, a New York graffiti artist, and Doc TC5, a style master who leads graffiti art.
The predecessor of the Shanghai A.F.A is the Red Town cultural and creative park on the former site of the No. 10 Steel Factory of Shanghai Bao Steel Group.
