The second phase of the Columbia Circle is now open to the public, with a lush spatial environment and a gathering of characteristic small shops.
A brand-new themed art installation called “Da Cheng Xiao Shi • HIDDEN WORLD” has been launched simultaneously, bringing a space full of artistic sense for browsing and playing.
At the same time, a new gate at Niuqiaobang Road is now open, creating a new access to the art and leisure destination.
The phase II is in the south half of the park, with a total construction area of about 24,000 square meters. It is includes five new buildings, integrating office, commercial and other functions.
It continues the concept of “respecting the historical context, continuing the urban context, dialogue between new and old buildings, sharing and symbiosis of diversity,” and further expand the connotation of “three areas in one” of the park, block and community.
Columbia Circle is being renovated as a hub for fashion and leisure arts.
The site, owned by the Shanghai Institute of Biological Products on Yan’an Road W. near Panyu Road, is being converted into a complex with offices and shops. Companies involved in fashion and creative industries are based there.
