Actions to better serve talent

Hongqiao Community has launched the Five Wisdom Actions for the Governance of International Community Talent Apartments, further integrating the Party’s organizational cohesion, political guidance, and talent development work. 

Through actions such as introducing talent, benefiting talent, accompanying talent to grow, improving talent’s life, and partnering with talent, it cultivates new highlights of international talent services and draws a concentric circle for talent development.

In addition, the community continues to deepen and expand the “cohesion project,” deepen the modernization of grassroots governance system and governance capacity under the guidance of Party construction.

It accelerates the construction of an urban governance community where everyone participates, takes responsibility, contributes, and shares, continuously improve the effectiveness of connecting with and serving the people.

It also releases four community Party construction projects on site, namely, “Learning Together in Hongqiao, Sharing Civilized Fashion, Co-creating a Better Life, and Jointly Managing Happy Blocks.”

Lab for makers

The SeekerLab at Shanghai Silicon Alley was unveiled on June 27 to become another innovation landmark for all sorts of entrepreneurs and startups.

Turning from Dingxi Road to reach the SeekerLab, the first thing that catches the eye is a unique design: the chemical element decoration in the stairwell symbolizes starting from the most basic elements and gradually climbing the peak of technology and innovation. 

The SeekerLab covers an area of approximately 700 square meters and cleverly divides into three functional areas: office, display, and service. It not only provides a 400 square meter office area for the team to showcase their creativity, but also has a 300 square meter display space to showcase the latest achievements of technological innovation.

In the exhibition area, Huayang Road Community and Donghua University have established the SeekerLab Digital Service Laboratory, specifically providing experimental exhibition space and communication platform for entrepreneurial talents. 

The exhibition area is recruiting curators on a quarterly basis, committed to creating a pioneering display window for digital technology.

In the talent service area, the creative living room fully embodies the concept of “talent is the first resource.” The floor butler and service specialist provide comprehensive services from human resources to legal consultation for startups, becoming a strong support for their growth.

The layout of the office reception area is even more ingenious, with single rooms customized for mature unicorn enterprises, while the mobile office area welcomes the arrival of startup teams with flexible and efficient space. 

The sci-tech innovation radio station, tea room, multifunctional ball room and other functional areas not only meet the diverse needs of daily work, but also become places for thinking collision and resource connection.

Land of idyllic beauty in plum rain

The continuous rainy days have made the entire city damp. Zhongshan Park in Changning showcases a unique charm, transforming into a popular destination for people to leisurely escape the summer heat, cool down and exercise. 

Strolling through it, every step is taken amidst the greenery, and the visitor may immerse in the coolness and tranquility of nature.

The 2024 Must Eat List of Dianping has recently been released, with 144 merchants listed in Shanghai and 17 merchants listed in Changning District.

At the same time, the Arch Walk shopping mall in Changning tops defeated all its peers nationwide in terms of the number of merchants on the list.

With the theme of “Source of Hongqiao, Chain of World,” the Changning delegation and more than 20 British funded enterprises participated in the London session of the “Investing in Shanghai • Global Tour” series of activities. 

During the event, Changning focused on promoting themes such as location advantages, strategic opportunities, high-quality resources, business environment, and development planning. Changning is one of the earliest windows of Shanghai's reform and opening up. 

The open international environment has brought together numerous consulates, foreign friends, and foreign investment, with nearly 6,500 foreign-funded enterprises developing in Changning.
