The theme of this exhibition coincides with the recently opened Phase II of the Columbia Circle, moving from a “garden” to an “urban forest,” and inviting you to experience the sense of time and space intersection between “new and old.”

This exhibition showcases the latest collage art works of artist Jing Yu (Shi Qionglu), including both paintings and installations. Each piece of work seems to be an independent time node, interwoven with each other in the exhibition space, forming a mysterious and charming “garden.”

The inspiration for the new work comes from the classic novel “The Garden of Forking Paths” by Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges, and the philosophical thinking in the novel has been integrated into the new world of visual art.

Curator Huang Yi introduced that the exhibition “Borges’ Garden” is not only a tribute to Borges’ works, but also an important chapter in the artist’s personal artistic exploration.

The artist hopes to interpret the fluidity and uncertainty of time through a unique artistic language, allowing the visitors to discover their own future and past through the exhibition.
