The osmanthus finally bloomed

This summer was long, and the osmanthus season was postponed from Mid-autumn Festival to National Day. Cold rain silently moistened osmanthus flowers. Osmanthus flowers didn’t lose their beauty in the rain, but appeared more crystal clear and had a sweeter fragrance.

Along the Suzhou Creek, concrete buildings once again become the backdrop for admiring Osmanthus flowers. Osmanthus branches are adorned with golden flowers, like small light bulbs, adding a touch of liveliness to the cool-toned buildings. 

At the entrance of Hongqiao Sports Park, osmanthus flowers and pink muhly grass meet in the “blossoming season,” where you can witness the grand scene of two flowers blooming together.

There are many osmanthus trees planted in various office parks and even on the sidewalks along the street in the Linkong Economic Demonstration Zone. 

Osmanthus flowers fall on the ground, creating a beautiful scenery on the ground; On the branches, there is a sparkling golden hue. Every blooming or fallen osmanthus flower brings a subtle and warm beauty to people.

Shopping center for family, cyclists, pet lovers planned to open next summer

Sited at 570 Huaihai Road W., A. F. A shopping center will open in the summer of 2025.

With a building area of approximately 50,000 square meters, the shopping center is positioned to create a high-quality “artistic lifestyle” that is exquisite, interesting, and relaxing.

Digital era on its way

At the event, the first batch of Chief Data Officers Alliance for Digital Economy, composed of 100 companies, was established. They will work together to promote cooperation and exchange, cross-border cooperation, and common growth among enterprises.

The alliance will also guide enterprises to fully tap into the core driving potential of data elements, accelerate their digital transformation, and build a new era of “data.”

Old store with new anime space

The Printemps Tianshan Road Store is expected to be reopened in the first quarter of 2025 after an upgrade and transformation that will introduce anime, catering, retail and other business forms with the key words of youth, ecology and fashion.

During the upgrade and renovation period, the shopping mall will adopt a non-closed store zoning and renovation model, presenting an immersive shopping atmosphere and effectively enhancing the shopping experience for consumers.

In terms of hardware, the entrance and exit of the shopping mall, the exterior facade, the street area along Tianshan Road, and the outdoor area on Gubei Road will be optimized, and new sunken squares, fountain squares, and fashionable pedestrian streets will be added. 

In terms of business type, it will focus on the anime, make substantial adjustments and improvements, plan to introduce more than 40 brands related to quality food, fashion retail, relaxation and social networking, dynamic entertainment, etc, and will create an anime space covering an area of about 5,000 square meters.

Annual 3E fair showcases jobs and more

Much more than a job fair, an event focusing on employment, entrepreneurship and enterprises was held in the Gubei Civic Hall on October 26. 

The 3E (employment, entrepreneurship and enterprise) International Fair 2024 was jointly organized by the city’s Expatriate Center and Hongqiao Community, which drew graduates, job seekers, employers, startups and even venture capital firms.

The idea was to create more employment opportunities and a community-based network by integrating resources and channels.

With the theme of “Environment and Social Governance,” it covered four major segments: employment service job fairs, keynote speeches and roundtable forums, United Nations board games, and the final of the Social Entrepreneurship Competition, providing a vibrant platform for job seekers and entrepreneurs.

Since 2020, the 3E fair has been successfully held for 5 sessions. Nearly 300 multinational companies and local enterprises in Shanghai have provided more than 1,200 job opportunities both online and offline, offering job applications to over 5,000 people. 

The fair has actively and effectively built a sustainable and stable employment interaction platform for employers and job seekers in Shanghai.
