Youth economy brings new opportunity

Let’s embark on the starry sea of youth economy together in Changning. The launch ceremony of Changning Youth Economy and the Shanghai Youth Development and Youth Economy Thought Enjoyment Gathering were held at Yuyuan Road on March 31.

The youth economy is the sum of a series of economic activities that provide products or services to young people, are led by young people in entrepreneurship or management, and are closely related to industries. 

The proportion of young people in the residential group of Changning ranks first in the city, the proportion of young people in the consumer to visitor group ranks second in the city, and the proportion of young people in the working group ranks fourth in the city, which has strong attraction to young people. 

At present, Changning has gathered leading enterprises and commercial ecosystems in the fields of coffee, fragrance, milk tea, pets, healing, and derivatives.

Purle blooms add a pop of color

In April, Changning welcomed a purple feast. The February orchids and purple planters scattered throughout the ecological greenway of Changning Outer Ring Road, Hongqiao Sports Park, Zhongshan Park and other places are in full bloom, decorating the parks and green spaces into a dreamy purple ocean, bringing people a unique spring experience.

From Jiangsu Road to Zhongshan Park, the “dopamine color” of Yuyuan Road can be seen everywhere, and creative shops are constantly emerging, becoming a representative block of contemporary young people’s lifestyle. 

Recently, the “Yuyuan Road Youth Economy Community Feeds Map” was officially released.

Store operators involved in the “community feeds:”

Most of them were born after 1980;

Mainly composed of post-90s and post-95s;

Provide products or services to young people.

More than 20 merchants in the five major categories of fashion new retail, influential food trends, milk tea and coffee, experience economy and fragrance economy.

Accordion concert held on terrace

On the evening of April 3, an accordion concert was held on Breeze Terrace at Livat Shanghai. Chinese and foreign accordion masters gathered in Changning, bringing a romantic and healing performance to the audience. 

As the dusk deepened, a gentle breeze blew, and music intertwined with the spring night, immersing audience in this unique artistic experience.

The concert is the prelude to the 2025 “Shanghai Spring” International Accordion Culture and Art Week. In the next few days, there will be several exciting events to be held in Changning one after another.

Peonies, peach blossoms brighten century-old park

The peonies and peach blossoms in Zhongshan Park have gradually opened up, bringing a visual feast of spring to citizens and tourists.

At the Peony Garden in Zhongshan Park, which covers an area of about 4,000 square meters, many peonies have already bloomed. Some are as white as snow, while others are as pink as rosy clouds. The light and graceful petals add a touch of fairy spirit to their natural agility.

As a characteristic flower of Zhongshan Park, peonies will be showcased on April 12 and 13 through the “2025 Peony Garden Expo - Prosperous Era of Splendor • Peony Gathering” event. 

The aim is to explore the cultural connotations of peonies, recreate the historical scenery of the park, and create the first brand of peony culture in Changning.

On both sides of the main road near the amusement park in Zhongshan Park, more than 60 peach blossoms are blooming, interweaving multiple varieties and colors into a lush peach forest. 

When it comes to peach blossoms, pink flowers often come to mind. However, this peach grove in Zhongshan Park breaks the conventional perception of the public. In addition to pink peach blossoms, there are also red chrysanthemum peaches and multicolored five colored blue peaches here, providing visitors with a unique flower viewing experience.
