Home appliances, cars, deco a bargain through next month

The 6th Changning “55 Shopping Festival” is here. This year’s shopping festival will run through June.

From May 5 through 20, the Cloud Nine Shopping Mall will hold the “AI Smart Life Festival.” During the event, the focus will be on the smart home appliances, creating a new scene for smart home appliance retail and showcasing new offline retail experiences for shoppers.

From May 9 through 17, Raffles City Changning will hold the “55 Car Purchase Festival” to gather various vehicle models to meet the diverse consumption needs of consumers and create immersive car buying scenario.

At Livat Shanghai, there is also a highly cost-effective home shopping experience. IKEA Shanghai Lingkong Mall holds the IKEA Spring and Summer 2025 home decoration event, promoting consumption through shopping subsidies, discounts on purchases, member point redemption, and holiday themed series of activities.

From May to June, shopping malls like Arch Walk, Bailian Xijiao, and The Place, along with pet businesses in Changning, will host pet competitions, fashion shows and bazaars as part of the festival, while the Shanghai Nightlife Festival's grand opening, “Open Night,” will feature diverse experiences at Columbia Circle – ranging from music and sports to reading and art – under the theme “Shanghai Nights: Imagination Beyond Borders.”

During the festival, next-gen products like artificial intelligence washing machines and robotic cleaners will be showcased, with major home appliances companies offering discounts and subsidies to boost tech consumption, while the 2025 Double Five Car Festival will bring a wide range of electric vehicles and sport utility vehicles to consumers through immersive showrooms and test-drive events.
