Park facelift for young people

The renovation of Tianshan Park is based on the core concept of “ecological priority, functional integration, and child friendliness.” 

In the design of child friendly spaces, the natural wildness of Tianshan Park is preserved through low intervention design, while non-powered amusement facilities and interactive devices are introduced to inspire children’s curiosity and creativity in the process of getting close to nature. 

In the future, this will become a new place for parent-child activities that integrates safety, naturalness, and creativity.

The renovation of Tianshan Park will comprehensively promote the integration and opening up from the dimensions of time and space. In terms of time, the park will be open around the clock. 

In terms of space, first of all is to build a pedestrian bridge between Tianshan Park and Haisu Green Space, connecting the park green space, cultural building, Liu Haisu Art Museum, and rail transit station to promote the coordinated development of regional functions. 

The second is to update the space under the Mingzhu Line (Metro lines 3 and 4) bridge, explore new sustainable utilization models for urban rail transit bridge space, and transform it into a benefit for more citizens.

Alliance established full of vitality

The Gubei Charity Bazaar and the establishment ceremony of the “Vitality IN Hongqiao” International Volunteer Service Alliance were held at Gubei Citizen Park on June 5, injecting new public welfare momentum into this international neighborhood.

Chinese and foreign volunteers, representatives of international organizations, government agencies and enterprises, and local residents were present at the scene.

At the ceremony, the highly anticipated “Vitality IN Hongqiao” International Volunteer Service Alliance was officially established. The “Vitality IN Hongqiao” international volunteer service brings together various forces such as enterprises, institutions, international schools, and volunteer teams from China and abroad, forming an open, diverse, and efficient international volunteer service platform. 

It provides volunteers with broader service space and richer resource support, further promoting the professional and normalized development of volunteer service, and creating a volunteer service brand with international influence.

The third session of the “Hongqiao Afternoon Tea” series in 2025 was recently held, which focused on the theme of “Human Resources Innovation” and invited the European Chamber of Commerce and elite EU enterprises deeply involved in Sino Europe cooperation to have face-to-face exchanges, explore new ideas, and make new friends.

Local businesses inspire carbon neutrality

Changning, with the theme of “Gathering Strength to Create Zero Carbon Together,” participated in the Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Technology, Products and Achievements Expo, showcasing the achievements and innovative practices of regional green and low-carbon development.

The three-day exhibition from June 5 was themed “Toward Carbon Neutrality” and consists of three major sections: themed exhibitions, series forums, and trade matching.

Nightlife unveiled to celebrate sleepless carnival

On the evening of June 6, the 2025 Shanghai Nightlife Festival kicked off at the Columbia Circle, and at the same time, the opening carnival of the Nightlife Festival was held to preheat and build momentum for the “Shanghai Summer” international consumption season.

This year’s Nightlife Festival will run from June through September, with the theme of “Night Live Goes On.” During the “Shanghai Summer” international consumption season, the first batch of 130 themed summer night activities in Shanghai will be launched, including trendy sports night, e-sports lifestyle month, and late-night live music season, as well as a number of special scenarios such as “bus plus consumption” and “boat plus consumption.”
