The Gubei Charity Bazaar and the establishment ceremony of the “Vitality IN Hongqiao” International Volunteer Service Alliance were held at Gubei Citizen Park on June 5, injecting new public welfare momentum into this international neighborhood.

Chinese and foreign volunteers, representatives of international organizations, government agencies and enterprises, and local residents were present at the scene.

At the ceremony, the highly anticipated “Vitality IN Hongqiao” International Volunteer Service Alliance was officially established. The “Vitality IN Hongqiao” international volunteer service brings together various forces such as enterprises, institutions, international schools, and volunteer teams from China and abroad, forming an open, diverse, and efficient international volunteer service platform. 

It provides volunteers with broader service space and richer resource support, further promoting the professional and normalized development of volunteer service, and creating a volunteer service brand with international influence.

During the symposium on “Everyone Speaks, People’s Democracy Throughout the Process,” Chinese and foreign guests engaged in ideological collisions around volunteer aspirations, international cooperation, and community governance. 

International volunteer representatives shared touching stories of their dedication to volunteer service, from their original intention to the challenges and gains they faced in different cultural backgrounds. 

They interpreted the profound connotation of “love knows no borders” through their personal experiences. Experts have also conducted in-depth analysis of the practice and development of international volunteer service from a professional perspective, exploring how to better promote the deep integration of international volunteer service and community governance to advance grassroots democratic construction.
