On July 18, The 2025 Shanghai International Youth Gathering and the themed event "Youth GDP • Life Roaming Collection" launched at WYSH Feiyue Li in Changning.

Attendees included Dong Xia (Deputy Secretary-General of the All-China Youth Federation), Shangguan Jian (Secretary of the Shanghai Youth League Committee), Zhang Wei (Secretary of CPC Changning District Committee), Margarita Guerrero Calderón (Director of the Spanish Youth Institute), Dejan Ilioski (Chief Executive Officer of the European Youth Association), Wu Dezu (Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of China Youth Daily), Wu Bin (Deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League Shanghai Municipal Committee and Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Youth Federation), Chen Yiqun (Director of the Foreign Publicity Office of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee [Information Office of Shanghai Municipal Government]), Cen Fukang (Deputy Secretary of the CPC Changning District Committee), Tang Chao (Second-class Inspector of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce), more than 130 international youth representatives from China-Europe Camp and Pioneer Camp, as well as persons in charge of the organizing, undertaking and supporting units attended the event.

Shangguan Jian delivered a welcome speech, stating that this event, with the theme "MAGIC SHANGHAI, YOUTH’S FUTURE", aims to build a benchmark platform for global youth to engage in cross-border exchanges, diverse communications, and in-depth integration, jointly explore the unlimited potential of the "youth economy", and enable international youth to see Shanghai and Shanghai youth to see the world.

Zhang Wei stated that youth and openness have always been the youthful background of Changning's development and are unique traits deeply rooted in its genes. At the ceremony, six Chinese and foreign youth representatives issued an initiative for a better future around the themes of "unity, inclusiveness, innovation, harmony, sustainability, and globalization".

"Shanghai International Youth Lifestyle Index" is jointly released by the Shanghai Youth Research Center, Ctrip Group, Phoenix TV, and Shanghai Daily. This index is a heavyweight launch by the Shanghai Youth Research Center in conjunction with Ctrip Group, based on a study on the consumption characteristics and trends of foreign youth coming to Shanghai.

It covers nine major series of consumption trend rankings in dimensions such as "travel, accommodation, tourism, shopping, and entertainment", presenting a panoramic view of Shanghai's most popular check-in landmarks and the coolest guide to having fun.

The "Shanghai (Changning District) International Youth Consumption Friendly Environment Creation Plan" was launched. Changning District will create a more attractive and innovative international youth-friendly consumption environment by optimizing multilingual consumption scenarios, collaborating with key opinion leaders to enhance publicity, and initiating live-streaming sales competitions.

The "Youth Empowerment Action for Shanghai International Consumption Center City" was launched.
