According to the District Landscaping and City Appearance Bureau, the Changning sub-venue, under the theme “Shining Changning—Gathering Brilliant Light, Illuminating Beautiful Changning,” will continue the features of the previous light festival and present citizens with a luminous feast structured around “one core, two axes, and three circles.”

The event focuses on district-level commercial complexes, combining Changning’s cultural and tourism characteristics with its business and office ecosystems. Using light and shadow as the medium, it showcases the vitality and transformation of emerging urban areas, allowing residents and visitors to appreciate the beauty of Changning’s light art, urban construction, and high-quality life through themed activities and under starlit domes.

Three architecturally distinct buildings—Livat Shanghai, SkyBridge HQ (formerly Linkong SOHO), and Hongqiao Uptown—will jointly interpret Changning’s shimmering charm.

The lighting along the Yan’an Elevated Road emphasizes a harmonious balance between light and architecture, using illumination to narrate the stories and history of the buildings, adorn the city’s nights, and foster interaction between people and urban spaces. The Changning section of Suzhou Creek, themed “Elegant nights along Suzhou Creek, gently illuminating Changning,” aims to create an open and connected “urban necklace” for the public.

During this year’s light festival, the main exhibition area at Livat Shanghai will offer experiences integrating natural ecology, AI technology interaction, and a blend of culture, commerce, sports, exhibition, and greenery.

Architectural projection show

At the entrance plaza of Livat’s Gate 2, an interstellar light show will welcome visitors. Using LED circular screen interactive technology, visitors can adjust light beam directions via a mobile app to collectively “draw” aurora trajectories, simultaneously triggering constellation connections on the ground, enabling real-time human-light interaction and creating a unique entry experience.

On the western plaza of Livat’s Nordic Town, a light show will depict the “twin flowers” of Stockholm tulips and Shanghai magnolias, accompanied by multidimensional interactive effects.

In the passageway at Livat’s subway entrance, semi-transparent curtains simulate rainbow diffusion from sunlight piercing a stream, while natural airflow creates rippling light effects. Combined with the silhouette of existing green walls, it forms an immersive ecological narrative.

Echoing Changning’s “Habitat Garden” theme, the entrance plaza at Livat’s Gate 3 will feature hundreds of dynamically rotating colored acrylic discs, combining scientific symbols and artistic light to create a comprehensive art installation showcasing urban biodiversity and ecological spatial quality.

Event Easter Eggs

Coinciding with Livat’s first anniversary, the mall will host a series of consumption-promoting anniversary activities alongside light shows and installations.
