The second Shanghai International Light Festival's Changning branch will officially open on September 26. To offer an early glimpse of its charm and highlight its features, "Ning Ning" will focus on the "one core, two axes, three circles" lightscape layout, using the camera to capture the beauty of urban light art, urban development, and high-quality life under the night sky.

The core area of this year’s light festival branch consists of three architecturally distinct buildings—Livat Shanghai, SkyBridge HQ, and Hongqiao Uptown—which together will bring a radiant glow to Changning’s nightscape.

As the main exhibition zone within the core area, the popular Livat Shanghai, which has been open for one year, will be transformed into a futuristic "Light and Shadow Living Room." It will offer citizens an immersive experience blending natural ecology, AI technology, culture, commerce, sports, exhibitions, and sustainability, adding dazzling new highlights to its first anniversary celebrations.

As the largest new commercial complex opened in Shanghai in 2024, Livat Shanghai has firmly established itself among Changning’s commercial landmarks since its opening on September 26, 2024. Located near Exit 5 of Songhong Road Station on Metro Line 2, the project spans a total construction area of over 430,000 square meters, encompassing a shopping mall, an IKEA Linkong store, and five office buildings. It debuted with over 300 curated brands, including 23 national-first stores and 29 Shanghai-first stores. Combining diverse offerings such as shopping, dining, entertainment, trends, and cultural arts, along with its "all-age-friendly" positioning, it has quickly become a one-stop lifestyle and social destination, maintaining high popularity throughout its first year.

During the light festival, architectural light shows and light art installations will be set up at Livat’s Gate 2, the plaza west of Nordic Village, the metro exit passageway, and the entrance plaza at Gate 3, creating interactive scenes that integrate natural ecology and AI technology. Stay tuned for more surprises.

In addition, Livat Shanghai gathers numerous distinctive food and beverage brands. After enjoying the light shows, visitors can also explore a variety of delicious dining options within the mall, adding culinary delight to the sparkling night and making the evening even more memorable.

Looking back to 2024, the Changning branch of the light festival was held at the mature commercial landmark Columbia Circle, attracting numerous visitors. This year, the festival moves to Livat Shanghai, which has been open for just one year. With its unique spatial advantages and rich lineup of light-themed activities, it is expected to offer a fresher visual and experiential feast for the public, allowing this young Changning landmark to shine even brighter on its first anniversary.
