During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival "dual holiday" period in 2025, Changning District integrated diverse resources from commerce, tourism, culture, sports, exhibitions, and green initiatives, launching a series of consumption promotion activities to create a strong festive atmosphere. The regional consumer market showed a positive trend of surging vitality and rising popularity.
According to data monitoring from key commercial entities, during the holiday period (October 1 to October 8), consumption in Changning District's four major business circles increased by 22.76 percent year-on-year. Among them, consumption at Zhongshan Park municipal-level commercial center grew by 35.85 percent year-on-year. As of the National Day holiday, the annual sales of Cloud Nine Shopping Center had exceeded 10 billion yuan (US$1.40 billion).
Based on data from the Consumer Market Big Data Laboratory, Changning's Columbia Circle, as a newly recognized Shanghai nightlife hotspot, saw nighttime consumption increase by 104.1 percent year-on-year.

Driven by Shanghai's "Home Appliance and Home Furnishing Trade-In" subsidy voucher campaign, home appliance and furniture stores in Changning experienced a consumption boom. JD Electronics City Flagship Store in Changning saw a 17.86 percent year-on-year increase in sales during the holiday. Suning's "48-hour flash sale" special event from September 30 to October 1 achieved an 18.98 percent year-on-year increase in turnover over the two days.


Shanghai's further support for automobile replacement and renewal subsidy policies received active responses from various shopping malls in Changning. Cloud Nine's New Energy Vehicle Block launched various forms of promotional discounts, with mall foot traffic increasing by nearly 20 percent year-on-year.
