Wang Luoqing, president of the Changning Overseas Friendship Association, welcomed entrepreneurs from Italy and the overseas Chinese community in Changning, providing a detailed introduction to the district’s locational advantages, international openness, key industrial features, and enterprise global expansion services. He expressed his welcome to Italian companies to actively connect with Changning’s industrial base and market resources to further expand cooperation and exchange, while also expressing hope that overseas Chinese in Italy and Italian friends would continue to play a bridging role in promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between China and Italy.

At the event, Jin Hui, president of the Italy Chapter of the EU Chamber of Commerce in China and chairman of the Soong Ching Ling Foundation Italy, provided an in-depth analysis of the opportunities in China-Italy economic and trade cooperation and introduced the Italian enterprise representatives present. Corsini, vice president of the China Italy Chamber of Commerce, interpreted the broad prospects of China-Italy cooperation, while Prior, a member of the Italian business delegation, introduced the technological advantages, innovative concepts, and willingness to cooperate with China among Italian enterprises.

During the key enterprise promotion session, representatives from Italian companies in shipping, catering, tourism, and other sectors, as well as local Changning enterprises including Shanghai Carrying International Forwarding Co., Ltd., iFlytek (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Jiujian Strengthening Technology Co., Ltd., showcased their advanced technologies, core services, and cooperation visions.

In the free business exchange session, more than 30 Chinese and Italian enterprises from industries such as film production, software development, food processing, tourism services, medical devices, fashion and apparel, environmental remediation, and high-end catering engaged in in-depth exchanges, with some reaching preliminary cooperation intentions on the spot.

They provided professional consultation to participating enterprises and distributed guides on convenient services for overseas talent coming to Shanghai.

As an important window for Shanghai to connect with the Yangtze River Delta and serve the whole country, Changning has always been at the forefront of opening-up and is one of the most internationalized central urban areas in the city. It is now fully advancing the construction of the Hongqiao Enterprise Overseas Headquarters Cluster. The Changning Overseas Friendship Association, the District Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and the District Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs will maintain close collaboration with Italian overseas Chinese groups, expand policy consultation and economic and trade cooperation channels, and jointly promote China-Italy economic exchanges and people-to-people exchanges to new heights.
