On November 14, Changning District held the "Best Hongqiao, Gathering Friendship" – Thematic Event for the 5th Anniversary of the Hongqiao Friendship Alliance, reviewing the alliance's development journey and fruitful achievements over the past five years, outlining a new blueprint for future cooperation, and deepening international friendly exchanges. Liu Ping, deputy secretary of the CPC Changning District Committee and district director, attended the event.

The event revisited wonderful memories of the Hongqiao Friendship Alliance over the past five years through a video, and alliance members also offered warm wishes to the alliance. Additionally, to recognize the dedicated contributions of alliance members in their respective fields and their role in building bridges of friendship between China and other countries, Changning District presented exclusive commemorative trophies to the alliance members. Liu presented the Hongqiao Friendship Alliance with a comprehensive service pack themed "Love Changning, Best Hongqiao."

Anu Rathninde, the alliance chairman, honorary winner of the 2025 Shanghai Magnolia Gold Award, and president of Asia Pacific at Johnson Controls (China) Investment Co., Ltd., expressed gratitude on behalf of all alliance members for the high-quality services and excellent resources provided by Changning over the past five years.

Following the ceremony, the Hongqiao Friendship Alliance held a dialogue session. Alliance members actively shared their views on the future development of the alliance, fulfilling their role of providing international experience and advisory suggestions for the construction of Changning into an international boutique district with global influence, and actively promoting the district's economic and social development.

At the dialogue session, Liu responded to the opinions and suggestions of the alliance members one by one, introduced the latest economic and social developments in Changning, and provided alliance members with a comprehensive understanding of the district around the four characteristics: Best Hongqiao, international flair, digitalization, and livability. Liu expressed hope to continue leveraging the platform of the Hongqiao Friendship Alliance to enhance communication and deepen cooperation among its members, jointly contributing to Changning's efforts to create an internationalized business environment, improve convenience and friendliness for foreign residents, and accelerate the development of a world-renowned international boutique district.
