Recently, Changning's tourist information services have been further optimized. The tourist information center on the first floor of the Changning District Library at 1188 Yuyuan Road has opened to visitors, while the Zhongshan Park location has also been enhanced. At the same time, the surroundings of the Changning Culture and Art Center have undergone an artistic greening renovation, offering residents and visitors a richer, more diverse cultural and tourism experience.
Enhancements to Changning's tourist information services:
Yuyuan Road adds a new location

Upon entering the hall, visitors will see the promotional display screen continuously plays Changning's cultural and tourism promotional videos, such as the inbound tourism-themed time-travel film "Encounter" and the Silver Dove Award-winning "Why Love Changning."

The new location features an orange and wood-grain color scheme and is divided into multiple functional zones. It provides comprehensive services including access to tourism materials, guided information for inbound tourism in Changning, displays of local cultural and creative products, luggage storage, and a visitor rest area. It is also equipped with convenient facilities such as free Wi-Fi, drinking water, and charging sockets.

Located within the nationally recognized tourism and leisure block that blends nostalgic charm with contemporary appeal, a key feature of this Yuyuan Road location is its focus on inbound tourism. Visitors can obtain free materials here, including the newly released 2025 "Shanghai Changning District Inbound Tourism Demonstration Block Construction Guidelines," four themed Citywalk routes, maps highlighting food, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment spots, as well as guides and information on various urban architecture, culture, and art exhibitions in Changning.

Additionally, the location offers convenient facilities such as luggage storage, tourist bathrooms, and a baby care room, forming a full-chain consulting and service system from guidance to consumption.

Besides the new Yuyuan Road location, the tourist information center at Zhongshan Park has also completed functional upgrades, incorporating elements of Changning's newly launched cartoon images, "Maoning" and "Naite" — super cute!
During the New Year holiday, Changning will launch a special New Year stamp-collecting activity themed around the New Year and inbound tourism, featuring "Maoning" and "Naite." Visitors can collect stamps at both information centers and leave their New Year messages and wishes on a dedicated display wall. Visitors can also pick up an inbound tourism map at the information centers and follow the route to experience the "Century-Old Streets and Lively Changning" Citywalk, appreciating the unique charm of the century-old park and historic district!

Revitalization around Changning Culture and Art Center:
lush greenery and artistic vibes

The greening renovation project around the Changning Culture and Art Center has recently been completed, becoming a vivid practice in the district's "Park City" construction.

With "Art Infiltrating Daily Life" as its core concept, the redesign features a prominent "I♥ART" themed entrance, complemented by sleek landscape installations that harmonize with the surrounding greenery.

As part of the refresh, manhole covers in the adjacent green spaces have also received a makeover. By recruiting local manhole cover designers, the center has adorned the covers with themes like spring flora, Changning's streetscape architecture, and the Year of the Horse zodiac, transforming ordinary utility fixtures into a "ground art exhibition."

The renovation project emphasizes spatial texture and ecological balance, featuring a red-brown slatted wall bench, stone mountain landscape, and round gravel nodes thoughtfully arranged. Spherical art lights, illuminating both day and night, enhance the spatial ambiance. The project preserved well-growing trees and updated the combination of trees, shrubs, and grass, ensuring the greenery is both vibrant and naturally integrated with the art installations. Simultaneously, gentle barrier-free pathways were added to connect various functional areas, making art and greenery easily accessible.

Additionally, the renovation involved removing outdated landscaping features, renewing walkway pavements, and adding wooden benches as well as themed park areas. This has transformed the green space into an "outdoor extended exhibition hall" for the art center. Furthermore, a "Spring Manhole Cover Painting" parent-child activity was organized, turning the public space into an everyday destination for residents to stroll, take photos, and engage in parent-child interaction. This adds a vibrant touch to Changning's "15-minute community living circle."
