As the Year of the Horse approaches, streets, parks, and green spaces across Changning are already brimming with the spirit of spring. To welcome the Chinese New Year, major parks, main roads, and key areas in the district have used flowers as a medium and scenery to convey festive sentiments, skillfully blending ecological aesthetics with traditional customs to create a series of joyful, harmonious, warm, and elegant holiday landscapes. This allows residents and visitors to immerse themselves in lush, splendid scenery and feel the strong sense of reunion and new year joy in advance.

Entering Zhongshan Park, visitors can see red and yellow lanterns hang high at the entrance of Gate 1, shining alongside the blooming seasonal flowers. This year, the park has specially created a horse-themed Spring Festival floral installation featuring a spirited horse surrounded by vibrant blooms, which has attracted many visitors to stop and take photos. The park's existing peacock installation has also been refreshed, combining with newly sprouted buds to create a lively scene described as "brilliant peacock tails alongside budding blossoms."

The festive spirit extends beyond Zhongshan Park. At Hongqiao Park, Xinjing Park, Gubei Civic Park, and Tianshan Park, creatively designed Year of the Horse-themed displays can be found everywhere. In Hongqiao Park, a playful macaron-colored "doughnut" floral installation reflects hopes for a sweet life, while the red bamboo-woven Chinese knot at Huashan Green Space conveys an ancient auspicious meaning, rich in traditional charm. Strolling through these spaces, residents can appreciate the beauty of natural ecology while immersing themselves in the tangible warmth of the festive season.

Major roads in Changning have also donned their holiday best. Flower boxes along Changning Road, Huashan Road, Jiangsu Road, and Hongqiao Road follow an "ecological plants + festive decorations" theme. Bright flowers such as violets, dianthus superbus, and violas are paired with winterberry and pussy willow branches laden with red berries, creating a rich and layered visual effect. Mini lanterns, red drums, and woven vine balls hanging from the branches bring together traditional festive elements and modern horticultural design, adding a rustic warmth and lively charm to the winter streets.

In green spaces near landmarks such as the Wukang Building and in front of the Xijiao State Guesthouse, groups of cartoon horse sculptures draped in red silk and adorned with plum blossom patterns are particularly eye-catching. Their adorable and festive appearance contrasts delightfully with the surrounding seasonal flowers in full bloom and the historic architecture, forming a heartwarming scene where traditional customs and urban life blend seamlessly. This has drawn frequent photos from passersby and tourists.

During the Spring Festival, the Changning Outer-Ring Greenway will also become a scenic highlight. Colorful lanterns and Chinese knot installations along the route and at rest stations will fill the greenway with a joyous atmosphere. Several public stations are decorated with lights, and trees at their entrances are dressed in festive "colorful attire," making them even more lively. This provides residents with warm, festive spaces for walking and relaxation.
Currently, the district's Spring Festival landscape decorations are largely complete. Changning District will continue to maintain high standards in greenery care and festive atmosphere enhancement, allowing residents and visitors to spend a joyful, harmonious, warm, and elegant Chinese New Year amidst beautiful gardens and picturesque streets. Together, they will welcome the hopeful arrival of the Year of the Horse amid the rich festive spirit.
