During the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, major commercial districts across Changning District launched distinctive and engaging new year activities, driving sustained momentum in multiple consumption sectors. Residents and visitors alike enjoyed the thrill of shopping amidst the rich festive atmosphere, ushering in a small peak in the Spring Festival consumer market.

According to data monitored by the Consumer Market Big Data Laboratory (Shanghai), consumption across Changning's major commercial districts remained robust during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, with the Hongqiao-Gubei and Zhongshan Park city-level commercial districts leading the growth, posting year-on-year increases of 36.7 percent and 28.4 percent respectively.

The Zhongshan Park commercial district saw average daily foot traffic rise 15.2 percent compared to the same period last year. Building on Shanghai's "Enjoy Consumption, Invoice Lottery" initiative, Cloud Nine Shopping Center added its own "Dragon Horse Carnival Travel Festival – Good Fortune + 'Horse'" consumption promotion activities. The new energy vehicle zone at Cloud Nine maintained strong consumer interest, with steady growth in both vehicle sales volume and revenue. At JD Electronics’ flagship store, products such as mobile phones, computers, and smart home appliances sold exceptionally well.

Shanghai Raffles City centered its efforts on the themes of "Welcoming the New Year in the Year of the Horse, Intangible Heritage Shines Brightly, and Non-Stop Happy Shopping," launching a series of distinctive activities rich in cultural heritage and interactive fun, covering the entire consumption period from Spring Festival to the Lantern Festival.

Yuyuan Art Life Street launched a special Spring Festival citywalk check-in activity, connecting Year of the Horse-themed installations, historic building tours, and specialty store shopping experiences. This integrated green mobility with quality consumption, effectively attracting both local residents and visiting tourists to check in and shop.
