The agreement was signed by Dr. Johannes Sommerhaeuser, regional president APAC Global Business Services and director of Bosch China, and Shen Feng, executive vice president and chair of the Quality Management Committee of NIO.

The partnership will cover NIO's three brands—NIO, ONVO, and firefly—focusing on core technological areas of intelligent electric vehicles. Key areas of collaboration include chassis-by-wire systems, battery management, braking control, steering systems, drive systems, as well as body electronics and sensor modules.

This strategic cooperation marks a deepening of collaborative innovation between the two companies in key technologies for intelligent electric vehicles. It aims to promote complementary advantages within the industrial chain and drive high-quality development.

The partnership is also expected to elevate Sino-German cooperation in energy transition and advanced manufacturing to new heights, contributing to global sustainable development and economic and trade collaboration.

Established in 2007 as a joint venture between China's Delixi Group and France's Schneider Electric, Delixi Electric has developed into a leading joint venture in China's low-voltage electrical industry and a significant force in the electrical sector. The company has received numerous accolades including "National High-tech Enterprise," "National Green Factory," and "Top Employer China" recognitions.

Spring awakens along Changning's ecological greenway

As spring breezes sweep through, Changning's Outer Ring Ecological Greenway has quietly burst into life.

Along the 6.25-kilometer path, white and purple magnolias bloom in scattered elegance, stretching open like delicate lanterns basking in the sunlight.

Beyond the magnolias, red plums are also in full bloom, their subtle fragrance drifting through the air. Residents embrace the early spring's romance and tenderness amidst the fragrant greenery.

The greenway also serves as a haven for wildlife. Squirrels dart through the trees, while spotted doves, blackbirds, brown crakes, and kingfishers sing from branches or forage by the water's edge, their lively presence adding delight to the spring scenery.

Yet the most active figures along the greenway are the people themselves. Under the bright spring sun, they stroll, cycle, and admire the landscape.

Magnolias have bloomed, insects have awakened, fish have surfaced—spring is not something to wait for, but something you encounter as you wander along.

The event honored outstanding women models from Changning who have received national and Shanghai-level recognition for their contributions across sectors including public service, urban governance, healthcare, legal affairs, and technology.

The ceremony was creatively structured around a "Women's Bus" theme, unfolding in three chapters through stage performances, story-sharing sessions, and situational dramas that vividly showcased the dedication and resilience of women in Changning.

In the first chapter, "Spring Led by Women Role Models," Zhu Guoping, a renowned representative of grassroots community leaders, shared her work experiences and reflections, offering deeper insight into the influence of women participating in national political life at the community level.

The second chapter, "Spring Blossoming Through Women's Philanthropy," highlighted the deep engagement of Changning's women-led social organizations in areas such as empowerment, support, and child welfare.

The third chapter, "Spring Surging with Economic Vitality," brought together outstanding women from emerging fields including technological innovation, international trade, and the office economy. They discussed how new drivers of the district's economy are supporting business development and empowering women's growth.

Outside the venue, a "Spring Happiness Fair" was held concurrently, offering public services such as legal consultations and marriage guidance provided by multiple government departments. Several enterprises also showcased achievements in women's health, fashion, and lifestyle industries.

Women's Day celebrated with half marathon

Eight thousand female runners set off on the 2026 Shanghai Women's Half Marathon on a sunny Sunday morning in Changning District to celebrate the International Women's Day.

The 21-kilometer race started at 7am from Zunyi Road. Pan Hong became the first runner to cross the finish line at the Zhongshan Park, clocking 1:12:52 – the best result since the event was launched in 2019. She was followed by Qin Yingying (1:14:17) and Tang Xiaofen (1:16:25).

Shanghai Women's Half Marathon has grown into one of the best stages to showcase the healthy, confident, independent, and life-loving qualities of urban women. According to the organizers, 99.25 percent runners managed to complete their race.

This year's course follows the same classic route as in previous years, winding its way through Hongqiao Road, a vista-lined thoroughfare in Changning that once hosted foreign dignitaries; the Changning Outer Ring Ecological Greenway, hailed as a "national-level premium cycling route"; the East Hongqiao area, a district integrated into national strategies; the scenic Suzhou Creek promenade with its clean waters and green banks; Changning Road, a major urban artery; before culminating at the newly revitalized "century-old park," Zhongshan Park.

Nearly 950 student volunteers provided services for the event. Seventeen medical spots and 15 ambulances were arranged along the route in case of emergency.

Flowers and medals – fashioned into a flower-shape necklace – were awaiting the finishers at the finish line. A beauty and hairstyling service area was also set up on the lawn of Zhongshan Park, helping runners freshen up quickly after the race. Light snacks are also available to replenish energy and celebrate the occasion joyfully.

The top 200 finishers have won themselves entry to the 2026 Shanghai Marathon which will be held in the second half of the year.
