On May 11, ARB Group, a globally renowned manufacturer of off-road vehicle parts, established its China company in Changning District, Shanghai. Liu Ping, deputy secretary of the CPC Changning District Committee and district director, attended the launching ceremony and delivered a speech.

Liu noted that ARB Group’s choice of Changning represents a mutually beneficial partnership driven by shared goals. Last October, a district government delegation visited ARB Group’s headquarters in Australia and held in-depth discussions with the company’s CEO on deepening cooperation and pursuing common development. After seven months of continuous follow-up and full support, ARB’s first corporate entity in China was successfully established. Liu expressed the hope that ARB China, leveraging its brand positioning and strengths in design, R&D, and sales, would quickly integrate into the local market and truly become a multinational enterprise with global reach and deep local roots, so that ARB Group’s presence in China continues to grow. Changning is one of Shanghai’s most international and open districts, home to half of Shanghai’s diplomatic residences, one third of consular offices in Shanghai, one quarter of international schools, one fifth of the city’s expatriate population, and nearly 6,500 foreign-invested enterprises. Looking ahead, Changning will continue to uphold its development philosophy of “openness, innovation, and inclusiveness,” striving to create a first-class, market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized business environment to attract more renowned domestic and international brands to establish and grow in the district.
The Australian Consul General in Shanghai, Deputy Consul General, and representatives of the AustCham Shanghai attended the ceremony.
