On June 10, the three-day 2026 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Technology, Products and Achievements Expo opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Changning District made a striking appearance under the theme “United Changning, Co-creating Zero Carbon,” showcasing its achievements in green industry development. A number of high-quality enterprises deeply engaged in the low-carbon sector took the stage, outlining Changning’s path of green transformation across clothing, food, housing, transportation and daily goods – demonstrating the district’s commitment and innovative vitality in the pursuit of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.

In recent years, Changning has cultivated a green economy, integrating low-carbon innovation into every aspect of industrial development, urban construction, and livelihood services, with fruitful results in its “dual carbon” efforts. At this Carbon Neutrality Expo, the Changning pavilion focused on the bio-manufacturing and sustainable consumption industry chain, bringing together key enterprises in the district including Bosch, Ingka, APP China, Chagee, Staples, G-COVE, ROOSTONE, Abacell, and DEYA. Through diverse display formats, it offered visitors an immersive green experience.

The pavilion was packed with highlights and substantial content. In the industrial low-carbon field, Bosch showcased carbon reduction solutions for smart mobility and industrial technology, empowering collaborative win-win outcomes through technology. APP China adhered to the “forest-pulp-paper integration” concept, leading the paper industry’s green transformation from carbon sequestration at the source to zero-carbon products. Staples, leveraging its digital platform, offered one-stop low-carbon procurement services to support green transformation for government agencies and enterprises.

On the consumer side, low-carbon concepts have permeated daily life. Chagee practices the “farm-to-cup” philosophy, turning tea dregs into organic fertilizer and using biodegradable packaging materials, setting a green model for the tea beverage industry. Ingka, the parent company of Ikea and Livat, is deeply engaged in the circular economy, from green operations to guiding sustainable consumption, integrating low-carbon practices into daily life. G-COVE focuses on replacing single-use plastics, DEYA recycles marine waste to produce carbon-neutral products, and Abacell uses abaca fiber to create biodegradable textiles – each company bringing its unique strengths to provide diverse options for green living. ROOSTONE, through themed salons, focused on green fashion and supply chain innovation, building a platform for industry exchange.
The pavilion also showcased Changning’s ecological progress and sci-tech innovation capabilities, presenting the district’s green transformation achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. Within the Shanghai Silicon Lane, companies such as Black Lake and Westwell are driving carbon reduction through “AI + new energy,” unleashing a powerful momentum for sci-tech innovation.
An official from the District Development and Reform Commission said that in the future, Changning will continue to focus on zero-carbon development, expand the green industry cluster, deepen low-carbon innovation, and strive to become a benchmark district for green transformation, contributing a solid “Changning strength” to the nation’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.
Lu Hao, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC District Committee and deputy district director, attended the opening ceremony.
