Unlike traditional enclosed malls, Crystal Bridge was conceived from the outset around a “natural, relaxed” concept. The project features 30 percent greenery coverage and around 13,000 square meters of central green space, with natural elements integrated throughout public areas and retail zones, allowing visitors to move between shopping and greenery seamlessly.

During the soft opening period, a series of public art installations from artist Liu Yi’s “Light Talker” collection will also be unveiled. The works activate the public realm and add a cultural layer to the retail environment. “Code Cat Walker,” featuring a character walking through greenery with a computer balanced on its head and a robotic companion, adds a playful focal point. “Star Ring Mother and Child” depicts an intimate family scene, capturing a quiet sense of everyday warmth.

Night-time programming is a key part of Crystal Bridge’s identity. Its diamond-shaped curved façade can transform into a large-scale digital light canvas for immersive visual projections after dark. The “Aperture” circular light installation creates layered daytime reflections, while at night it connects with a coordinated light show to form a strong visual signature.

Crystal Bridge said the development is built on a commercial foundation, integrating culture, art, lifestyle trends and public engagement into its programming. The aim is to create a more active and diverse urban public space. Visitors are invited to explore what is described as a “breathing” vertical garden, discover installations across the site, and spend time in open areas including the sunken plaza, outdoor theatre and rooftop garden.A series of events will roll out in the coming months, including sunset craft beer sessions, themed markets and pet adoption initiatives, designed to bring a more casual, everyday energy to the space.
