The 2026 Shanghai "Hongqiao•Maibobo" Raw Beer Music Carnival was held on the lawn of the New Hongqiao Central Garden from July 22th to 26th, which was a summer extravaganza blending music, food, craft beer, and urban memories created a vibrant nighttime haven for citizens, making Changning's nighttime economy even more lively and exciting.

During the day, the New Hongqiao Central Garden is lush with green and tranquil, but as dusk falls and the lights are turned on one by one, the entire lawn switches to a romantic nighttime mode.
As you walk into the park, you'll find elements of old Shanghai style everywhere along the lawn. Shikumen houses, rickshaws, and telephone booths are scattered throughout, showcasing the unique urban charm of Shanghai amidst the greenery.

As you walk along the path, the neon archway is particularly eye-catching, and the popular drinks area is right here.
The stalls at the bazaar brings together craft beers from Germany, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and other countries, paired with a variety of unpasteurized beers, cocktails, and wines, offering a wide selection to satisfy different palates. The "Free Cup" stall's signature drink, "Resurrection," is particularly popular; its clear liquid and refreshing taste dispel the summer heat and ease any gloomy mood.

Next to the drinks section, the food bazaar was bustling with all sorts of dishes. Sizzling steaks on the plates, grilled squid and various skewers filled the air with their aroma, and pizzas, takoyaki, and Yunnan-style bursting tofu were on display in abundance.
A milk tea stall attracted the attention of many passersby, with various trophies and awards from food and drink competitions laid out.The staff used traditional methods to make Yuanyang milk tea and Hong Kong-style milk tea, using black tea base with specially blended coffee powder. After repeated tea-pulling, the tea soup was smooth and silky, making it a popular choice for cooling off in the summer.

The main stage, surrounded by flowers in the center of the lawn, was the heart of the entire carnival. Beautiful melodies played on time on evening from 5:30 to 8:30.
Classic hits familiar to those born in the 80s and 90s, such as "Red Sun," "Glorious Years," and "Fairy Tale," were played one after another. As soon as the familiar intro began, the audience would unconsciously wave their arms and sing along with the melody. The evening breeze carried the songs, instantly creating a wonderful atmosphere.

The purpose of selecting nostalgic old songs is to evoke shared memories of our youth. Enjoying the evening breeze, having a drink and chatting, and reminiscing about the old days through the melodies—this is exactly the pleasant atmosphere that the event aims to convey, acccording to a representative of the event organizer, Shanghai Sanyan Culture Media Co., Ltd.
Many local residents and office workers came to visit. One office worker from the nearby region said that after work, he followed the music to the lawn, ordered snacks and drinks, and listened to the music quietly. The fatigue of a busy day was completely relieved at that moment.

On the lawn, friends gathered and chatted at the background of soft music while parents stroll through the market with their children. People of all ages can find their own summer fun here.

Beyond the bustling market, the special exhibition area commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Hongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone is also of particular significance.Display panels and videos were laid out that trace the urban development history of the Hongqiao area, allowing citizens to understand the transformative story of Hongqiao's journey while enjoying their leisure time.
