The "Invest Shanghai, Share the Future" overseas event was held in Istanbul on the afternoon of September 11, with Changning District stepping forward to build dialogue between Chinese and Turkish businesses and unlock cooperation in trade, culture and fashion consumption.
Seizing Opportunities, Extending an Invitation as a Preferred Destination
This year marks the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Turkey. Home to the Turkish Consulate‑General in Shanghai, Changning serves as a key gateway for Shanghai's opening‑up.

During the event, the Changning delegation invited Turkish companies to regard Changning as their preferred landing spot for entering the Chinese market. The delegation highlighted the district's strong connectivity and vibrant fashion sector, calling for win‑win collaboration that combines Turkey's fine craftsmanship and distinctive design with Changning's digital ecosystem and complete supply chains.

Officials from Changning's Investment Promotion Office gave a full presentation on the district's four core features, namely origin of Hongqiao, international outlook, digital intelligence, and high‑quality development. They outlined its rising strategic importance, industrial transformation and business‑friendly environment, with a special focus on its trillion‑yuan‑scale fashion‑consumption cluster and booming cross‑border e‑commerce platforms.

A roadshow titled "Dreams Start at Suhe River; Success Begins in Beixinjing" was also staged, illustrating concrete, ground‑level support services for foreign investors and strengthening Turkish firms' interest in expanding into China via fashion consumption, cross‑border e‑commerce and headquarters‑based economy.

Following the forum, the Changning team visited Informa's Turkey office and held one‑on‑one investment talks with leading exhibitors in home goods, gifts and home appliances. The targeted exchanges aim to tap more potential partnerships and attract high‑quality international enterprises to set‑up and grow in Changning.
