Truly spectacular events are scheduled in Changning in the coming month

Once the Frost's Descent has passed, autumn takes on a concrete form. In Changning, this seasonal feast of colors is quietly brewing and slowly unfolding. Ginkgo leaves will gradually turn golden, tallow trees will blaze with deep red, and maple and beech trees will soon weave layers upon layers of warm hues. Over the next month, Changning's streets and greenways will gradually unfold into a flowing autumn scroll without leaving the vicinity of the nearby neighborhoods.

For a one-stop experience of Changning's autumnal beauty, the Changning Outer Ring Greenway is a must-see. This 6.25-kilometer-long linear ecological corridor, covering approximately 55 hectares, will be at its most vibrant during the year. Ginkgo, soapberry, sweetgum, beech, and other trees will change their colorful foliage in succession, creating a tapestry of reds and yellows.

Strolling along the walkways, the emerald green leaves gradually unfold into shades of crimson, shimmering brilliantly in the autumn sun, becoming a striking feature of the corridor. The interplay of red, yellow, and green creates a constantly changing scene, each step revealing the charm of autumn.

Autumn in Zhongshan Park possesses a gentle, refined charm. The maple leaves near the Four Corner Pavilion will slowly turn a mesmerizing red, and many citizens are already looking forward to coming here to be immersed in the vibrant foliage. The ginkgo trees not far away will also reach their peak viewing period, with their golden leaves contrasting beautifully with the red maples, creating a richly colored oil painting from afar.

The most worthwhile scenery to wait for lies in the sycamore-lined scenic path between Gate 1 and Gate 2. As the leaves fall in abundance, layers of yellow, red, and brown intertwine. On sunny days, sunlight filters through the branches, creating dappled shadows that dance with each step, making a walk along feel like stepping into a tranquil dream. The 160-year-old sycamore tree beside the path is truly the park's crown jewel. When autumn colors are in full bloom, its powerful branches support its enormous canopy, resembling a giant, multicolored umbrella.

The charm of Changning is also hidden in the streets and alleys every resident pass by every day. The tallow trees on Ziyun Road are Changning's pre-arranged palette of colors in autumn. The leaves will be slowly dyed deep red, crimson, and orange-yellow by the autumn wind, making the whole street dazzling. The ginkgo trees on Huangjincheng Road, Kele East Road, Tianzhong Road, and Yili Road are also worth looking forward to. The tall ginkgo trees line the roads, and when they are full of golden leaves, the sunlight filters through the branches and leaves, casting dappled light.

After the first frost, autumn deepens gradually, and the trees in Changning will slowly change their colors in batches. The gold of the ginkgo, the red of the tallow tree, and the variegated colors of the sycamore—each hue is a limited-time gift that comes only once a year. Why not save this list of places to visit and head out to meet the autumn leaves as they quietly change color? Step on the fallen leaves, listen to the wind, and take in the fleeting autumn colors of Changning, capturing them both in your eyes and in your heart.

Changning District releases the first "digital ID card" for the Greater Hongqiao area's going-global

As AI products accelerate their overseas expansion, the risks of data ownership verification are becoming increasingly prominent. Recently, Agentic Engine, the AI Agent platform under Changning-based enterprise data technology company ThinkingAI completed the registration of intellectual property rights for its data products, becoming the first data product intellectual property registration case in the Greater Hongqiao area specifically for overseas deployment.

2.jpg

This also signifies that Changning's data product intellectual property protection services have further extended to the AI agents field, providing a new practical model for digital enterprises going global.

ThinkingAI, a data intelligence technology company based in Changning and serving the global market, has been deeply involved in the data field for over a decade, serving more than 1,500 companies and over 8,000 products globally.

As AI Agent reach overseas customers, the industry knowledge, business data assets, and Agent capability datasets accumulated behind the platform have become core assets for enterprises.

During visits to key data industry companies, the district market supervision bureau learned of these needs and proactively provided services in conjunction with the district data bureau and the district cyberspace administration.

With the support of the municipal intellectual property service center, they guided enterprises to structure and organize relevant data products, clarify data boundaries, and standardize application materials, enabling Agentic Engine to complete its registration within just one month.

Agentic Engine will serve as a productive asset that the company can hold long-term, with clearly defined ownership boundaries, scope of use, and authorization rules, continuously delivering product capabilities along its established global network. A representative from DataData Technology stated, "This registration of intellectual property rights for data products has fixed the ownership information and formation time of the data assets, providing crucial protection for our global business layout."

Meanwhile, various departments in Changning District provided a series of supporting measures.

The District Data Bureau guided the company in applying for digital transformation application scenarios, supporting its successful application for the 2026 Shanghai Digital Overseas Service Platform Special Service Pilot Program and its selection as an outstanding product among municipal-level digital business enterprises. The District Cyberspace Administration, based on the company's actual needs, focused on specific issues faced by DataScience Technology regarding cybersecurity and data compliance, providing one-on-one policy explanations and guidance. It also utilized the District Data Cross-border Service Center to disseminate and interpret data cross-border policies to the company, laying a solid security foundation for the efficient export of its data products and the expansion of overseas markets.

In the future, ThinkingAI will use this as a foundation to refine the ownership and authorization management of data assets, continuously promote the export of data capabilities to the global market, take root in Changning, and grow globally.

This initiative represents another step in Changning's exploration of data product intellectual property protection and its efforts to support digital enterprises going global. As a key area of the Hongqiao International Open Hub, Changning continues to strengthen its pilot services for data product intellectual property rights.

Leveraging the geographical advantages of the Greater Hongqiao area, it extends the intellectual property service chain, building a one-stop service covering policy dissemination, needs assessment, evidence registration, and overseas rights protection assistance. In the future, the District Market Supervision Bureau will continue to explore practical pathways for data element intellectual property protection, providing services such as data product intellectual property registration, overseas intellectual property risk warnings, and handling of foreign-related disputes, helping more digital innovation enterprises to bring their independent innovation achievements to the global market.

Cultural and sports bazaars, new sports spaces, and trendy boutiques offer  fresh vibe for youth consumption

On October 27th, the "Gathering New Strength to Promote Development and Pooling Efforts for the Future" - the "Suzhou Creek Young Vibes" Fashion Consumption Promotion Event kicked off at Raffles City Changning.

3.jpg

The event featured the opening of a vibrant cultural and sports market, the unveiling of a new sports space, and entrepreneurial stories shared by young shop owners, creating a "playground" where youthful trends and cultural and sports consumption intertwine within the commercial district.

On the lawn of Changning Raffles City, the atmosphere of youthful rock 'n' roll was ignited as soon as the band started playing. Starting from 10 a.m., the Youth Market, which combines sports, food, and cute pets, has been open throughout the day, attracting many white-collar workers, residents, and foreign friends from the surrounding area to "join in the fun."

This market leverages the resources of the Changning Raffles City commercial district, linking cultural and sports enterprises in its office buildings as well as high-quality brand merchants in the shopping mall, and bicycle shops along Changning Road, and it brought all sorts of fun-loving partners to the event. Yuyintang Music Youth Town brings a street rock trio to the open lawn area, with free experiences available for riding bubble machines and popcorn machines, not to mention a dazzling array of merchant services.

The most eye-catching feature was undoubtedly the array of branded bicycles on the lawn. Trek, Giant, Colnago, Specialized, and Scott—five major cycling brands—made a collective appearance, arranged in multiple rows, instantly igniting a sporty atmosphere. Visitors could not only see these flagship models up close but also personally experience the feeling of "chasing the wind" on the riding platform.

"Creating a one-stop cultural and sports consumption scenario that allows visitors to browse, taste, play, and participate" is the original intention of Zhoujiaqiao Street in holding this market. By building an offline platform for local enterprises, merchants, and youth economy to promote and showcase themselves, the market promotes government-enterprise collaboration, merchant synergy, and the integration of culture and sports, continuously enhancing the cultural and sports consumption reputation of the Changning Raffles City business district.

On the day of the event, "The Hives" sports space, located on B1 floor of the West Zone of Raffles City Changning, was officially unveiled. Targeting office workers, this space introduces diverse sports experiences such as Hyrox, Pickleball, and rock climbing, aiming to create a lifestyle destination themed around sports.

Based on this space, the Zhoujiaqiao subdistrict also partnered with Changning Raffles City to create the "PLAY IN THE HIVES" office building pickleball invitational tournament, using a lightweight and fun competition to enrich the workplace life of white-collar workers and boost the economic vitality of the business district.

What are the young entrepreneurs working on embodied intelligence busy with? What kind of dramas do young people like to watch? How to create fitness spaces that young people like? In the "New Quality Culture and Sports" TED-style sharing session, representatives from the Lenovo Embodied Intelligence Robot Youth Team in the area, as well as two young curators from Laizuo Theater and X30 Space, shared their stories of pursuing dreams in the youth economy and their experiences of growing and interacting with the community from a youth perspective.

“The value of fitness is never just about the training equipment, weights, and numbers in the store. The greatest charm of exercise is that it connects people,” shared Zhang Xiaoyue, the manager of X30 Fitness Space. She explained that the store has long been actively collaborating with the local community, participating in street basketball tournaments and planning to co-host a badminton friendly match. In her view, “new-quality sports and culture” means lowering the barriers to entry, attracting more people, and using sports as a bond to connect the community, businesses, and every young person, bringing more vitality to the neighborhood.

At the event, the "Youth Innovation Home" youth economy incubation academy in Zhoujiaqiao Subdistrict was officially launched. Leveraging the resources of the community college curriculum and the Tongzhou Academy platform, the subdistrict will provide full-chain growth support for youth economy leaders. Furthermore, relying on the district-level platform of the Shanghai Changning District Youth Innovation Talent Development Center, the subdistrict also invites youth economy leaders to become co-construction partners, establishing a platform for regular communication, resource sharing, and industry co-construction.

In addition, the Zhoujiaqiao Subdistrict actively responded to Shanghai's "One-Stop Shop Opening" initiative to optimize the business environment, offering a "One-Stop Shop Opening" window at the district market regulatory bureau's office and assigning dedicated personnel to help entrepreneurs clearly understand the business registration process, thus enabling more market entities to start their businesses with less burden and achieve vigorous development.

In recent years, Zhoujiaqiao Subdistrict has continuously promoted the construction of the new cultural and sports cluster area alongside the Suzhou Creek, cultivating a favorable environment for youth economy while optimizing the business environment of the commercial district. New cultural and sports business formats have activated new economic momentum, and the improvement of consumption quality and governance efficiency have resonated in tandem, resulting in a mutually beneficial cycle between youth momentum and economic development.

Changning's ecological habitat makes another appearance at an international conference

The 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) recently opened in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. On October 28, the "Building a Model of Biodiversity-Friendly Cities" Shanghai Day event was featured at the COP17 "China Pavilion," where Changning's biodiversity conservation practices, exemplified by the "Habitat+" initiative, once again attracted international attention.

4.jpg

In the heart of Shanghai, where land is incredibly valuable, can a city be both an efficient home for humans and a habitat for flora and fauna? During a COP17 exchange event, the head of the district's Ecological Environment Bureau shared an answer from a high-density urban center, titled "Harmony Between Humanity and Nature – 'Habitat Changning' in a Bustling Metropolis'."

To date, Changning has established 32 habitat gardens of various types, recording 1,342 species, and this number continues to grow.

Changning is a typical example of a high-density urban area in Shanghai. On this land of only 37.18 square kilometers, there is a resident population of 690,000. It has a high economic density and a high degree of internationalization.

For many years, Changning has actively aligned itself with the action goals of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, taking the construction of "Beautiful Shanghai" initiative as its guide, and has continuously explored biodiversity conservation pathways suitable for high-density international central urban areas.

It is aiming to create an international boutique urban area where humans and nature coexist harmoniously and a paradise for quality living, while also contributing Shanghai Changning's experience to the promotion of biodiversity conservation in global cities.

The core strategy is to build a systematic urban habitat network. Changning integrates the district's green spaces, water resources, biological resources, and built environment to create "habitat+" spaces: starting from the "source" of various types of habitats, it connects to various "micro-habitats" distributed in the built environment through rivers, lakes, ecological corridors, and fiber green corridors, ultimately forming a three-dimensional urban habitat system network of "habitat city - habitat community - habitat garden", and continuously creating habitat units and incorporating them into the "15-minute living circle".

In terms of spatial planning, Changning has completed two major tasks.

First, a habitat potential map covering the entire area was drawn up. Changning took the quality, scale, connectivity, and disturbance of habitats as four key elements, combined with the species functional group list, and systematically assessed traditional ecological spaces such as parks, green spaces, and water bodies. At the same time, habitat potential stratification analysis was carried out for different structures to fully explore the ecological value of each space.

Second, establish a toolbox that matches different spatial scenarios. Changning has developed a refined indicator system for different urban spaces: in the "habitat park" scenario, it focuses on the proportion of native species and the proportion of food and nectar plants; in the "ecological commerce" scenario, it focuses on the improvement of public greening, vertical greening, corporate participation, and bio-friendly facilities.

In the "habitat + community" scenario, Changning has transformed "leftover" spaces in communities into community habitat gardens with broad public participation. The Leyi Habitat Garden in Lvba Community was originally a corner of the community filled with clutter. Through urban micro-renewal, the terrain was transformed, native species were introduced, and pesticide and fertilizer use was restricted. Now it has become a mini "country park" right at the doorstep of residents, equipped with science education facilities, and has become a popular spot for residents to observe nature and carry out nature education.

In the "habitat + school" scenario, Loushan Middle School built the first campus habitat garden, which not only planted native plants, but also developed "habitat +" courses, allowing children to receive nature education on campus.

In the "habitat + commercial area" scenario, the commercial landscape space of Hongqiao Nanfeng City has been transformed into a habitat garden; IBP International Business Park incorporates habitat creation into the operating environment and the company's own long-term sustainable development goals, practicing corporate social responsibility through action, and giving the commercial space an ecological warmth.

In the "habitat + park" scenario, Zhongshan Park and Changning Outer Ring Ecological Greenway have made "rewilding" attempts, creating "Lingxi Secret Realm" which is accessible in half an hour, with hidden stream wetlands under the forest and "underwater forest", allowing citizens to experience the fun of the wild in the bustling city.

Co-governance and shared benefits: Building a protection framework with the participation of all citizens

Changning is striving to prove that high-density urban areas are not wastelands of biodiversity, but rather a home where humans and nature can coexist harmoniously. From habitat gardens to habitat cities, from government-led initiatives to community-wide governance, Changning is painting a vibrant picture of urban life amidst prosperity.

"By adhering to the principle of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature, we can create a path of harmony and sustainability, and jointly build a beautiful home where all things live in harmony." This is Changning's voice on the world stage, and it's looking forward to sharing its experience with cities around the world and jointly exploring the path of biodiversity conservation in high-density urban areas.

Tianshan Park boasts these great photo spots after renovation completes

After its recent renovation and revamp, Changning's Tianshan Park now boasts a charming landscape integrating subway lines, painted bridge piers, and lakeside lawns, attracting many photography enthusiasts. People capture the leisurely scenery of "entering the park right after exiting the metro station" from different perspectives; the vibrant colors, varied compositions, and dynamic light and shadow are a vivid interpretation of the people-oriented urban development.
