Sitting at 201 West Tianshan Road in the Xinjing region and with the other name of “Hometown of Folk Art”, the Changning Folk Culture Center is located in the vicinity of the Shanghai Zoo and Hongqiao International Airport. With a construction area of 6,500 square meters, Changning Folk Culture Center is equipped with activity facilities including a theater, a dancing hall, an opera performance chamber, a teahouse, a reading room, a performance rehearsal hall and a cultural exhibition hall, as well as recreational infrastructures including distorting mirrors, peep shows and miniatures of old folk streets. It regularly holds art activities including crosstalk competitions, drama appreciations, folk talk shows and singing shows, lectures and salons, when audience of all ages can fully enjoy the feast of folk culture.
