Shanghai Garment Group expands office leasing business

With culture, art, creativity and fashion... In recent years, Shanghai Garment Group has focused on the construction of Hongqiao Fashion Creative Industry Cluster, adhered to the two-wheel drive of “garment making” and “office leasing,” focused on creating “fashion, mutual benefit and sustainable” cultural and creative industrial parks and built one fashion office space after another with great characteristics.

With the change of the times, as an old fashion enterprise with more than 70 years of operation, Shanghai Garment Group has adapted to the needs of the reform and development of the modern fashion creative industry and made every effort to create a cultural and creative space cluster. The old factory buildings have also created its own distinctive style while glowing with new life.

At present, cultural and creative spaces by Shanghai Garment Group have gradually formed the industrial cluster effect, becoming the gathering places of new industries, new formats, new models and new people.

 

Outdoor brand highlights new building in Columbia Circle

At the beginning of the New Year, good news came from Columbia Circle. The first completed building N1 of Phase II project is expected to open to the public this year. 

Ozark, one of China’s leading outdoor brands, has decided to move in. The brand will expand its diversified business space here and create an exclusive fashion release place.

Building N1, the first completed building in Phase II, has a floor area of about 6,500 square meters and is expected to open to the public this year. Ozark, the first tenant, is one of the leading outdoor brands in China. It was founded by Hans Shallenberger, a Swiss mountaineer, in 1996. 

Its iconic Everest down jacket remains classic for many years. The brand has provided good technical and equipment support for Chinese mountaineering, and established Tibet Mountaineering School, which has trained hundreds of Chinese mountaineering guides capable of climbing the north face of Mount Everest.

The phase II, which is currently under construction, is in the south half of the park, with a total construction area of about 24,000 square meters. It is includes five new buildings, integrating office, commercial and other functions, and will be fully opened in 2024. 

The project will continue the concept of “respecting the historical context, continuing the urban context, dialogue between new and old buildings, sharing and symbiosis of diversity,” and further expand the connotation of “three areas in one” of the park, block and community.

 

Bureau carries out special actions for employment promotion

Changning District Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security formulated 10 special actions to promote employment in the spring of 2023.

The bureau connected with the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security and the Municipal Employment Promotion Center and jointly organized job fairs.

It also contacted businesses in local office buildings and universities to expand recruitment and provided jobs to unemployed people and people in need.

The bureau also provided more than 2,000 jobs for people from sister counties in Yunnan Province.

It invited graduates from more than 120 universities in the Yangtze River Delta region to start their careers in Changning and granted subsidies for unemployed people with difficulties. 

The bureau sent gift packages with holiday greetings to migrant workers and customized services for each of them.

Last but not least, the bureau further strengthened the investigation and punishment of malicious wage arrears, guided enterprises to employ workers in accordance with laws and regulations, and established the green channel for workers to protect their rights.

 

Projects in Linkong making new progresses

A number of projects in Changning Linkong have made new progresses recently, which include the partially sealing of the structure of Hongqiao Talent Apartment, the ongoing pile foundation of Hongqiao Uptown and the near-completion of the Livat Linkong commercial complex (including IKEA Mall) and United Imaging Park.

 

Small parks prove tiny is terrific

A number of parks along the Yang’an Road W. are open to the public. They are Wuyi Road Pocket Park at the intersection of Wuyi Road and Yan’an Road W., Qingfeng Park at the intersection of Zhongdeqiao Road and Yan’an Road W., Huashan Neologism at the southeast corner of Yan’an Road W. and Jiangsu Road, Zhongdeqiao Road Park at the northeast corner of the intersection of Zhongdeqiao Road and Yan’an Road W. and the Galaxy Garden at the southwest corner of the intersection of Zhongshan Road W. and Yan’an Road W.
