Gubei Citizens’ Forest creates a sustainable oasis

The "Gubei Citizens' Forest" officially opened in Changning District recently, covering an area of approximately 1,400 square meters.
It is located in the northwest corner of Guyang Road and Yaohong Road near the Gubei Citizens' Center of the Hongqiao Subdistrict.
The "Gubei Citizens' Forest" adopts the concept of "light garden" design, aiming to create a garden-style living space and a diverse and sustainable green landscape. The green area mainly features spring white flowering trees such as Japanese early cherry blossoms, Somei-Yoshino cherry blossoms, red leaf plums, and magnolias, providing citizens with a pleasant green leisure space.
Recently, the forestry offices of the district and the Hongqiao Subdistrict jointly organized some citizens to hold a voluntary tree planting activity in the "Gubei Citizens' Forest.” A total of 109 trees were planted and adopted, and citizen representatives participated in the naming activity of the "Gubei Citizens' Forest.”
The community residents of Hongqiao Subdistrict have shown great enthusiasm for the construction of the "Gubei Citizens' Forest," with 10 citizen representatives hanging adoption signs on-site.
Next, Changning will continue to promote citizens' awareness of protecting and growing trees, officials said.
