Changning to build three habitat gardens along Yuyuan Road

Jiangsu Road Subdistrict will build three habitat gardens along Yuyuan Road, a national-level tourism and leisure street, this year.

The three habitat gardens are located in the west, middle, and east of the Yuyuan Road street block. Each garden with different themes has its own characteristics and will help to build an "ecological green corridor" for the historical style street block of Yuyuan Road.

The first habitat garden is located at the west end of Yuyuan Road in Xiyuan Apartment. The Xiyuan habitat garden covers an area of 1,000 square meters and, as it is adjacent to Zhongshan Park, this habitat garden will be themed as a bird-friendly garden.

In the future, it will serve as a supplementary habitat for migratory birds in Zhongshan Park, where nearby migratory birds can rest and relax. In addition, there is also a science popularization and interactive area and a secret exploration area, increasing the educational aspect of the habitat garden.

The second habitat garden is located in the famous century-old alley, Qishan Community. This habitat garden hidden in the old Shanghai houses is the favorite habitat for small animals. Therefore, this habitat garden will be themed on the native species of the Pallas's squirrel.

There are also resident rest areas. In the future, residents in the alleys can rest and chat here, or open their windows and possibly have an encounter with squirrels, presenting a beautiful picture of harmony between humans and nature.

The third habitat garden is located in the Wancun Community on the east side of Yuyuan Road. This habitat garden is themed on the local roof landscape. By transforming the original roof structure, it retains the unique local plants of the rooftop and increases the rainwater harvesting function of the roof. A science popularization station will be built, providing nearby residents with a place to enjoy, relax, and learn.
