Columbia Circle embarks on a new chapter with its second phase opening
2024/06/18
The second phase of the Columbia Circle has fully opened, introducing a new themed art installation, "Hidden World," which offers a space filled with artistic ambiance for visitors to explore and enjoy.
At the same time, the new entrance on Niuqiaobang Road at the Columbia Circle has been opened, making access more convenient.
When the first building of the second phase and Camphor Square debuted in 2023, they were warmly welcomed by the public. With the full opening of the second phase, more hidden gems and unique shops are making a stunning appearance.
The architecture of the second phase adopts a sleek, Bauhaus style, incorporating unique elements of old buildings. Designs such as large steps and spiral staircases add many social features to the space.
In the fern garden, various types of ferns thrive, and the misting water creates an almost magical atmosphere. Ascending the steps, skywalks connect different sections, offering unique views from various corners. Additionally, the second phase includes rooftop designs with sports platforms and rooftop gardens as public spaces.
"The public space in the second phase has increased by nearly 2,000 square meters compared to the first phase, reaching about 7,300 square meters. By hosting creative activities such as markets, exhibitions and fashion shows, we aim to link the first and second phases to create a fashionable social venue," said the person in charge of the Columbia Circle.
Currently, the themed art installation "Hidden World" has been newly inaugurated. At the main entrance on Yan'an Road W., the piece "Poem of Space" has been newly installed. Inspired by the famous poem "The most distant way in the world," the artist combines the bird and fish into one, thereby bridging "the furthest distance" mentioned in the poem.
