2024/06/27
The overall appearance of Zhongshan Park Station on Metro Lines 3 and 4 has been completely renewed, with the silhouettes of Shanghai's landmark buildings added to the exterior, creating a unique landscape for the station.
Upon arriving at Zhongshan Park Station, one is greeted with a brand-new view: the clean and aesthetically pleasing exterior walls, the bright red station name sign and the distinctive and eye-catching silhouette decorations.
The station has undergone significant changes, from details to the overall structure, leading many Changning residents and regular commuters to exclaim: "The station has become more beautiful!"
Zhongshan Park Station on Metro Lines 3 and 4 is located at the intersection of Changning Road and Kaixuan Road and is one of the important transportation hubs in the Zhongshan Park business district.
As an elevated station, after more than 20 years of exposure to the natural environment, the station's interior and exterior structures showed varying degrees of aging.
To enhance the overall aesthetics of the station and provide passengers with a better travel experience, Shanghai Metro initiated a comprehensive renovation project for Zhongshan Park Station, successively updating and transforming the station's roof, public area operational supporting facilities and the exterior facade.
In terms of design style, a "restore the old as before" approach was adopted for the rough bricks, while the glossy bricks were polished and glazed as a whole to maintain consistency with the original floor tiles and enhance aesthetics.
In addition, the exterior sides of the station also feature silhouettes made by piecing together images of Shanghai's landmark buildings, highlighting the characteristics of Shanghai Metro as a city symbol and increasing the integration with the surrounding business areas.
