Shining Shanghai to light in Changning

A parallel session of the Shining Shanghai Light Festival, Changning will showcase the new changes, new street scenes, and new atmosphere of urban renewal.

With the theme of “Light Innovation Landscape - Empowering Creative Light for Urban Renewal,” the Changning session will be held from September 28 through October 4.

In the digital era, the art of light has become a powerful medium reshaping the worldview. The Shining Shanghai 2024 International Light Art Open Call, themed “Journey of Light,” invites global artists to explore how light connects stories and emotions. 

Light acts as a traveler, weaving through city nooks, capturing the dynamic interplay of light and shadow, and evoking emotions across cultures. 

Works of projection mapping that showcase how light unveils its power by connecting hearts, weaving history, and crafting dreams are wanted to illustrate light’s impact on artistic narratives and millions of audiences in Shanghai.
