From August 30 to September 7, Michel Buillard, the mayor of Papeete, French Polynesia, led a delegation to visit several places in Changning District, writing a nice chapter in Sino-French exchanges.
The delegation visited Loushan Middle School, one of the participant schools in the "Sino-French Polynesia Middle School Student Exchange Program," and discussed with the district's Foreign Affairs Office, Education Bureau and related schools the continuation of the exchange program.
During the meeting, Hinatia Tama-Georges, the deputy mayor of Papeete, stated that since the launch of the exchange program in 2015, middle school students from Papeete have established friendly relations with students from Changning District, serving as a vivid testimony to the friendly ties between the two regions.
Next year marks the 10th anniversary of the "Sino-French Polynesia Middle School Student Exchange Program." Both parties reached a consensus at the meeting to restart the student exchange program, and Papeete welcomes a delegation from Changning District to visit.
During their stay in Shanghai, the delegation also visited various locations such as the First National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party Memorial, Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Hongqiao Overseas Talent One-stop Service Center, Digital Changning Experience Hall, Tianshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and Shanghai Westwell Technology Co Ltd.
