Changning pioneers low-altitude economy with East Hongqiao Center

The East Hongqiao Center, a comprehensive commercial office project in the East Hongqiao area of Changning District, is conveniently located near Hongqiao Airport, just 600 meters from the T1 Terminal of Metro Line 10. Currently, the project is part of the Hongqiao International Low-Altitude Economy Industrial Park (Changning Park) and is open for business development, reserving a 5,000-square-meter space.

The project manager emphasized their business development principle: W"e would rather leave space open than compromise on quality, reserving prime positions for high-quality enterprises related to the low-altitude economy.

Enterprises like the 9th Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, Hura Drone Training, and Jizhun Fangzhong, which are part of the low-altitude economy, have already settled in the office building, occupying over 20 percent of the space.

Lin Wenhuan, director of the Industrial Development Division at East Hongqiao Investment Development (Group) Co Ltd, revealed that a flight service center, providing professional support for low-altitude flight plan applications and airspace management, is also confirmed to be established in the East Hongqiao area. This month, a low-altitude economy reception center, integrating functions like airworthiness certification, financial empowerment, and legal assurance, will be unveiled.

Changning District is leveraging the concentration of institutions related to airworthiness certification, airspace management, and flight services to extend the aviation economy from high altitude to low altitude. By offering essential services to low-altitude economy enterprises, the district aims to attract more competitive and high-quality companies.

For instance, airworthiness certification, which is akin to l"icensing aircraft, is a key service. Lin noted that in central urban areas where land resources are scarce, office buildings typically attract low-altitude aircraft equipment manufacturers focusing on RD and sales. We hope to make 'licensing' a highly sought-after resource advantage. In the future, convenient 'licensing' services will attract competitive companies' sales divisions to Changning, thereby generating economic growth.

In the low-altitude economy industry chain, airworthiness certification falls under general aviation services and is positioned midstream. Ground communication systems, which support information exchange for low-altitude flight activities, are considered low-altitude infrastructure and are upstream in the industry chain. Lin disclosed that China Telecom will establish a low-altitude intelligent network system in the airport economic zone, creating a small-scale low-altitude flight demonstration area.
