Livat Shanghai pioneers sustainable retail with green rewards
2025/05/13
Shanghai Livat, a shopping mall championing sustainable lifestyles, has recently introduced new brand stores and launched its Li"vat Green Energy program, encouraging eco-friendly consumption among consumers.
The Goofish Recycle Store, a physical counterpart to the popular secondhand trading app Goofish, has opened its first Changning location on the LG2 floor of Livat Shanghai. The store features a wide range of pre-owned items, including blind box toys, outdoor gear, home appliances, trendy electronics, fashion items, cosmetics, and books. It offers a two-way service, allowing sellers to trade in unused items while enabling buyers to purchase quality goods at affordable prices.
The selling process is simple: sellers bring their items to the store, scan a QR code to list them, and check estimated prices on the Goofish app. Items remain listed for up to two months, with earnings transferred directly online upon sale (service fees apply).
Beyond the secondhand store, Livat Shanghai has also introduced the L"ivat Green Energy program in its membership system, creating an interactive online-to-offline experience. The program engages consumers, eco-friendly merchants, IKEA, and community groups through fun and rewarding activities.
At IKEA's Sustainable Living Zone, shoppers can scan a QR code to check in and earn G"reen Energy points, which can be redeemed for sustainable IKEA products, experience vouchers, or even tree-planting donations. Additional points can be earned by bringing reusable cups, choosing green transportation, or participating in sustainability events.
To cater to diverse consumer needs, Livat Shanghai has welcomed over 300 brands and 18 flagship stores, many of which prioritize sustainability.
A standout example is the Kashiyama Membership Store on LG1, the first of its kind in Shanghai. The store promotes circular fashion by accepting clean, wearable used clothing in exchange for points that can be redeemed for stylish upcycled bags. The store showcases over 1,000 bags made from recycled fabrics, including totes, crossbody bags, and handbags.
