Shanghai's historic Wuyi Road has gained a vibrant new attraction as Tianfan Group and Chenlian Company jointly launch the Wu"tong Market, a regular pop-up bazaar under their LINK Show Hub initiative. Blending public welfare, social engagement, and trendy entertainment, this immersive space is redefining urban youth culture.
Designed by renowned architect Liu Yichun, theL INK Show Hubat200 Wuyi Road, a key urban regeneration project in Changning District, has transformed into a multifunctional venue featuring gourmet dining, live music performances, art exhibitions, and fashion launches.
The inaugural 10-day Wutong Market, spanning the May Day holiday, attracted crowds with its eclectic mix of AI-generated anime keychainsby Gen-Z entrepreneur Xiao Lin, 19th-century European prints and manuscriptscurated by collector Niu Minjian, and mystery coffee boxeswith mood-based flavors, which became a social media sensation.
"Wutong Market isn’t just a bazaar. It’s azero-cost platformfor young entrepreneurs to showcase original art, illustration, and pet-related products, said a Tianfan Group manager.
The initiative offers free vendor boothsf or emerging talents, consignment servicesfor remote/international sellers and community-buildingthrough art.
Future plans for the market include expandingt hree-friendly themes(artist-, pet-, and child-friendly) while integrating intangible cultural heritage elements, aiming to cement Wuyi Road’s status as a cradle for creative economies.
