2025/06/05

The third 2025 edition of the H"ongqiao Afternoon Tea salon was recently held at the Gubei Fortune Center, focusing on human resources innovation with face-to-face exchanges between the European Union Chamber of Commerce and business elites specializing in China-Europe cooperation.

At the event, Hongqiao Subdistrict officials first introduced the area's business environment, key industries, and talent services. Representatives from Changning District Talent Bureau and Exit-Entry Administration then detailed policies for overseas talent and immigration management, while Xiamen International Bank's Changning branch presented tailored financial services for enterprises and overseas returnees.

The discussion proceeded in a relaxed atmosphere, with several corporate attendees noting they gained deeper insights into Changning's policies and found fresh inspiration for future operations.

"With rapid global changes, we need such opportunities for mutual understanding and in-depth communication with government departments, said Dr. Ioana Kraft, national chair of the EU Chamber's HR Working Group. She highlighted the chamber's advocacy across nine Chinese cities, adding: We" hope to strengthen dialogue with Changning to address cross-sector policy challenges, ensuring officials hear corporate concerns while businesses understand government initiatives.

Since its inception, the H"ongqiao Afternoon Tea series has hosted 20 sessions with 500+ enterprises, including nearly 100 entrepreneurs who joined the Hongqiao Partners club.
