Hongqiao robotics innovation hub takes shape in Changning

The Hongqiao International Robotics Industry Collaborative Innovation Center in Changning's Linkong Park is taking shape, marking a pivotal stage where the district's robotics sector is transitioning from pro"of of concept to accelerated growth.

Upon entering the lobby of Tower A at Linkong Park's Jiantao Center, visitors encounter a 2,600-square-meter robotics exhibition hall spanning two floors, now nearing completion. A striking Ex "Machina sculpture with thrusters dominates the space, symbolizing the fusion of carbon-based and silicon-based lifeforms alongside the industry's soaring ambitions.

On the building's sixth floor, construction is underway for a 3,200-square-meter robotics industrial park that will soon welcome Zhejiang Zhongjian Technology and associated supply chain enterprises.

Zhongjian's quadruped robots, featuring extreme temperature resistance and intelligent obstacle avoidance, already serve firefighting, public security, and power sectors. The company is preparing to launch humanoid eldercare robots capable of medication management and medical assistance, alongside established European bestsellers like landscaping robots and industrial sweepers.

Despite being a work in progress, the center has already attracted upstream and downstream players: Priusoft Technology with sensors products and Sunward Information Technology providing smart infrastructure solutions for airports and tourism inspections.

This development aligns with Shanghai's 2025 strategic industrial map unveiled at March's Global Investment Promotion Conference, where Hongqiao Linkong Economic Park was designated among 14 district-level specialized industry clusters, with robotics as a flagship sector.

As the only central urban area within Hongqiao International Central Business District, Changning leverages superior transportation access, digital economy assets, and corporate headquarters concentration to dominate this emerging field.
