Changning to present ‘Park City’ floral extravaganza
2026/04/17
The Changning sub-venue of the 2026 Shanghai International Flower Festival will open on April 24, featuring a floral celebration that blends a borderless flower city, shared interests and diverse brands, transforming the district into "Changning Park City."
The event breaks down boundaries between parks and the city, centering on the Zhongshan Park circle and connecting four surrounding clusters: Linkong Livat, Wutong Xingfu, Tianshan Hongqiao and Xijiao Eco Area, creating a spatial pattern where the city lies within a park and flowers bloom across the urban landscape.
The Changning sub-venue is organized by Shanghai Changning Urban Development (Group) Co Ltd, with overall planning led by Shanghai Feishi Landscape Design, an internationally award-winning team, and the Landscape Department of Tongji University, upgrading flower viewing into an immersive citywalk experience in "Changning Park City."
Within the Zhongshan Park circle, four "interest tribes" will be established, bringing together 30 participating brands and forming 30 installations, transforming ecological value into commercial vitality.
Momo Elf Tribe is located in the southern section of Zhongshan Park, featuring multiple installations in areas such as the West Lawn, Hongqiao Snow, and the Stone Pavilion. In areas like the Waterside Pavilion and the Grand Lawn, rich experiential spaces including galleries, markets and special installations will be created. A themed market will be set up at the Cohesion Project Museum Square, offering a natural lifestyle and specialty bazaar.
Old Money Romance Tribe is situated along the Wanhangdu Road section of Zhongshan Park, inviting citizens and visitors to slow down and enjoy classic romantic lifestyle aesthetics amid floral scents. A Clound Nine market will be set up on the lawn near the children's playground, and a food market will be held at Shell Plaza.
Perceiving Roaming Tribe is located along the Suzhou Creek section near East China University of Political Science and Law, offering a unique citywalk experience for spontaneous wanderers. The focus is on a casual, free-spirited urban roaming experience, allowing participants to stroll along the creek and enjoy leisurely moments where nature and the city blend.
Floral Creation Tribe takes Yuyuan Road, Changning Road, Columbia Circle, and Huashan Green Space as its connecting threads, weaving the city's streets into a creative field that can be explored, appreciated and participated in. Here, floral aesthetics meet trendy IPs, and handmade crafts encounter life inspiration. Visitors are not just observers but also participants. Floral landscapes, installations and street views echo one another.
