New sports center welcomes public with 10-day free trial

The Ledong Hongqiao Sports Center at Lane 445 Loushanguan Road opened to the public on May 7, offering free admission for ten consecutive days during its trial run.
Located at the intersection of Loushanguan Road and Ziyun Road W., adjacent to Archwalk International Center and Yifung Center, the facility has a total floor area of 44,850 square meters. The sports area alone exceeds 12,000 square meters, featuring nine sports venues and a citizen fitness monitoring center.
The most anticipated facility is the standard swimming pool on the B1 level. Although underground, skylights on both sides bring natural light into the interior. The pool measures 50 × 25 meters and has eight lanes, including two lanes reserved exclusively for women. There is also a children’s pool measuring 10 × 18 meters with a water depth of 0.8 meters.
Other venues are distributed across the sixth to eighth floors and feature an industrial design style. On the sixth floor, visitors will find a gym equipped with hundreds of professional machines for cardio, strength training, and rehabilitation, alongside a competition‑grade basketball court with a 12‑meter ceiling height, electric adjustable hoops, high‑quality wooden flooring, and fully padded walls for safety.
The seventh floor houses a badminton hall, the citizen fitness monitoring center, and an indoor ski hall. On the eighth floor, there are a tennis court, a squash court, a pickleball court, and a table tennis hall. The basketball, badminton, and tennis halls each cover an area of 1,066 square meters and can be flexibly converted to other sports.
The floor‑to‑ceiling heights are 12 meters on the sixth and seventh floors, and 15 meters on the eighth floor, offering ample space for swinging and playing.
In addition, a Fanshu Bookstore on the first floor will open soon.
During May 7 – May 16, basketball, badminton, tennis, squash, pickleball, table tennis, swimming, and the gym are all free. After the trial, the center will offer public‑interest time slots and pricing.
