Huijin Department Store adds a number of brands following renovations and upgrades

The Huijin Department Store Hongqiao Store, which has been rooted in the Hongqiao-Gubei business district for nearly 18 years, is undergoing a brand-new business format transformation, becoming a community life center which is more accessible for the neighbourhood.

Huijin Department Store Hongqiao Store's renovation focuses on building a "15-minute convenient living circle," it has broke down the boundaries of traditional department stores and optimizing diverse business formats such as fresh food supermarkets, time-honored restaurants, 24-hour gyms, and convenient services.

The B2 level hosts "Pinshang Life," a brand under the Tramy Group,  and covers nearly 3,000 square meters and integrates a full range of daily necessities, including fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and household goods.

The B1 level integrates sports stores and convenience businesses. The "ARK City Sports Ark," a large-scale comprehensive sports venue, is located here, combining sports competitions, family leisure, and corporate team building activities.

The first floor retains brands such as accessories and jewelry and smart home appliances, while reorganizing the shoe and cosmetic counters and creating a lively and unique food area.

Ye Juxing, specializing in traditional Shanghai-style  dim sum, has not only brought classic flavors such as shumai and fresh meat zongzi to this place, has opened a more affordable dine-in area.

The Harbin Food Factory, which moved from the B2 level to the first floor of the mall, brings the sweet aroma of old Shanghai and caters to the dining needs of the surrounding residents.

The second floor, which originally mainly featured mid-to-high-end women's clothing, has now added brands offering high-quality, affordable clothing. Many local residents can now find suitable clothes during their evening strolls. The floor also offers light services such as head care, facial skin management, and muscle stretching, all with a simple and bright decor and clearly marked prices.

On floors four through six, while retaining affordable home-style restaurants, IP-themed spaces, handmade and creative shops, and a cost-effective cinema, has added new entertainment and leisure stores.

The upgrade of Huijin Department Store Hongqiao Store is a vivid example of how traditional businesses in Shanghai are now more deeply rooted in the community and serving the people. "We will dynamically adjust our leasing strategy based on feedback as well as by collecting opinions through community questionnaires and foot traffic analysis," said a representative from the store.

It will continue to leverage internal resources to continuously optimize the business layout and truly reflect the real needs of residents within a 3-kilometer radius.

Next, a series of immersive experiences and specialty food brands will be unveiled, including dining, massage palor and different types of leisure activities. It will continue to expand into multi-dimensional new consumption scenarios, turning the mall into a nice place at the doorstep of nearby residents.
